You walk into work like you have everyday for the past three years. By talking to Michael first. Your friendship blossomed over the years and you couldn't be happier with it.
"Hello, mate!" You smile at him and he pulls his headphones off to look up at you.
"Morning, boi!" He offers a smile back at you.
"Got you this." You set a mug of coffee down as you take your seat next to him. Geoff enters behind you and takes a seat, rolling his eyes.
"Aw, thanks, man!" He ruffles your hair and grins.
The whole office is convinced you an him have something besides a friendship, yet, you wake up every morning with bare wrists. Your day is then spent with the same bare wrists and ends just the way it began; alone.
It's not so bad though, you've got your friends and they all make you happy on days you feel like you'll never find anyone. Geoff makes you go out drinking with him in hopes you'll meet a girl or guy there that you like. It never works though.
You sit back in your chair and start working. Mostly editing, you hate doing it but its your turn.
"Burnie wants to know if you want to be on the podcast." Geoff looks over to you then to Michael.
"Me too? Sure" Michael shrugs.
"Yah. Okay" you smile a bit at him. When you turn back to your work Michael scoots his chair over.
"Hey, you feeling alright?" He puts a hand on your shoulder and you smile a bit.
"Same stuff." You shrug lightly.
"Ah," he nods. "Well, we'll have fun on the podcast. Hopefully that will cheer you up." He gives your shoulder a squeeze and your stomach flips for a second.
Your not really sure why even, it feels strange, your not sure you like it.

You walk into the studio, it's been set up for the podcast. Two chairs and a couch. You take your normal seat on the couch.
Michael walks in and sits next to you. "Hey, boi."
"Hey, Michael" but your accent messes his name up a bit and it comes out "micool."
It doesn't bother him as much as it used to. He used to tell you you were saying it wrong. Now he just smiles and gives you a small punch to the arm.
"Dork." He grins.
Gus sits down on his normal chair and Burnie sits in his. "Hey guys!" Burnie greets both of you.
"Glad you two idiots could come." Gus fiddles with some papers.
"Alright, ready?" Burnie gives a look to Gus.
"Yep!" He looks up.
"Hello and welcome to podcast, fucking, whatever number it is." Gus looks down to his papers for a moment and back up. "This podcast was brought to you by Hulu plus"
"Hey" Michael moves in closer to whisper in your ear. "How much would you pay me to go up and lay on Gus while he reads his advertisements."
You giggle. "I'll give you ten dollars"
"Done" Michael gets up and moves to the back of the chair, he flattens his body against the back and slumps into Gus, turning his body to dead weight.
"Michael! Get off!"
"Nope!"
You laugh with Burnie as Michael gets up and sits back down next to you. He puts an arm around the back of the couch behind you.
