I Don't Bite [Dean Winchester x Reader]

A/N + Season 3!

Season 2 Timeline:

Early May 2006 - Y/N wakes up in the hospital after the events of Devil's Trap. She learns that Dean is in a coma and begins to worry about both him and the safety of her pack. She begins to overthink, wondering if she really should be a hunter. (Wake Up - Stay With Me). Unsure of herself, she decides to stop hunting, her own questions and the weight of not being able to save everyone pushing her away from the life (I Quit).

Early June 2006 - Y/N finds herself traveling the midwest with Booth and Calliope, searching for answers. She wonders if there are other skinwalkers, and what that might mean for her pack. On this escapade, she meets a squirrelly hunter named Clarence Clearwater, a vampire/skinwalker hunter who was a friend of Daniel Elkins. She learns that her reputation in the supernatural world has grown, earning her the title of 'Black Dog' (Rumors). She eventually stumbles across another pack, and the alpha, a tervuren, seemingly invades her mind with ease. Frightened by both the foreign skinwalkers and the white wolf's vague messages, she decides to head home.

July 2006 - After a month and a half away from the Winchesters and hunting, Y/N grows anxious. The others can tell that she wants to start hunting again, as much as she doesn't want to admit it. She believes it would be better for all of them if they led a safer, quiet life. With some convincing, she decides to find the Winchesters and accompany them on a hunt with Andrew at her side (Hello).

Y/N meets Andy, another psychic kid, and reunites with the brothers. She is surprised to find that Andy's twin's powers work on some monsters, but are not as effective as on humans. Dean is nearly killed, and she begins to worry again; knowing she can't leave them alone, both for fear of their safety and the bond she now feels with them, she decides to continue hunting. (Simon Says - I Missed You).

She and Andrew decide to accompany the Winchesters to the Roadhouse, though they decide not to join them on their next hunt. She finds Andrew at the bar with a strange man, who seems to know too much about her for her liking. After sending Andrew to bed, she bumps into Clarence again - the older hunter suggests they take on a skinwalker hunt together, as he's been tracking a pack for a few weeks. She agrees, hoping to learn more about her people, and maybe begin to understand the white wolf's demands (The Roadhouse).

August 2006 - Alongside Marcus, Andrew, and Caeden, Y/N and Clarence spend a week tracking skinwalkers. They find no leads, growing increasingly frustrated until they encounter a crime scene filled with mutilated human bodies - a taunt towards the hunters (Others). They eventually encounter the skinwalkers, being chased into the woods and separated. Y/N encounters the Tervuren again and the pair grapple for a short period of time before she runs to her companion's aid. They fight the rival pack, revealing themselves as skinwalkers to Clarence, who unfortunately dies of his injuries. Y/N's guilt returns in full force, and she once again begins to question herself (Blood).

Upon learning that the Winchesters had been arrested by Detroit police, Y/N decides to find and help them. Marcus and Gator join her, leaving Caeden, Andrew, and their new companions Hidalgo and Augustine behind at a local hospital. They learn that the monster they are hunting in Detroit is a ghost, but when they realize who killed her, they realize Dean is in danger. She and an officer track him, and she reunites with him once again (The Usual Suspects).

September 2006 - January 2007 - After four months of hunting and adjusting to life with a bigger pack, Y/N begins to notice some odd patterns. Skinwalker activity is on the rise, and shortly after her second encounter with the hazel-eyed Tervuren she begins to see skinwalker attacks appearing in places she had recently hunted in. Panicked and paranoid she calls Dean, who immediately races to help her. After months of attempting to connect with her pack in the way the white wolf wanted, she finally manages to form a telepathic connection to Booth (Are You God?).
