Chapter 19 ~ How Could This Be?

*Next Day*

(Katy's POV)

"Chris! We can talk in school, as well. Can I please go and take a shower now? It's already 7:25!" I tell Chris on the phone. We've been talking for 2 damn hours! And Chris still won't hang up.

"Mind if I join?" He says huskily. I could tell he's having a smirk on his face right now.

"Shut up, Chris! Bye!" I say hanging up. This boy is so naughty, I tell you. But that's another thing I love about him. I take a look at my phone and groan it's 7:30 now! And school starts at 8. I'm gonna be late now. I better go and take a shower now.

So, I'm finally dressed up and ready. Holy Moly! Its 8:00 already! Oh no, oh no, oh no!! Run Katy, run! I run down as fast as I can. Thank God, everyone is sleeping. Lazy. I quickly grab a cab and hurry towards the school.

I'm finally here. I've already got 5 messages from Michael, 7 messages from Annie and 20 from Chris. Oh God. I hurriedly run towards the classroom. Miss Laura is gonna be furious! I accidentally bump into someone, it's probably a late student. Just like me.

"Sorry.." we both say at the same time. I look at him, and notice a never before seen person. But a cute one, too. Katy, you have a boyfriend, remember? I quickly shake my head and walk in the class, he follows.

"Late, I see." Miss Laura says keeping her glasses down. I stick my tongue out, "I promise, Ma'am, it won't happen again!" I say innocently. "Go sit." She says standing up.

Woah. Miss Laura didn't scold me, she didn't even throwed me out in punishment, she didn't even say a single word! I guess, it's my lucky day. Chris winks at me, I blow him a flying kiss. I take a seat next to my partner, Stacy.

"Hi girl!" She greets me. "Hey! How are yo-" I'm suddenly cutted off by Miss Laura's announcement.

"Attention please!" She shouts. The whole class looks at her. "We have a new admission, here. And his name is.." she suddenly stops. "What's your name, again?" She whispers. "Yeah! So, please welcome your new classmate, Jack!" She announces.

The whole class waves and smiles at him. Oh, so he's a new admission. I see.

"So.. let's see where can he be seated. Oh! There you go! You're going to be seated with Miss Annie!" She says excitedly. Wait. What?

(Annie's POV)

Seconds ago, I was thrilled to see the guy from yesterday come back, but now I'm shocked. Him. Seated with.. me? Justin has the perfect timing of being absent. This is not happening. Never in a million years.

Before I can even respond, he takes a seat beside me. I'm shaking, I really am. I don't know why, but Michael keeps looking at us, shocked. He's probably as surprised as I am.

"Hi." Jack interrupts my thoughts, gaining all my attention.

"Umm.. hi.." I force a smile. He smiles at me and takes out his hand for me to shake.

"Jack.. Jack Dawson." He says in an absolutely stylish manner. I keep staring at him. He clicks his fingers in front of me.

"A-Annie Swan.." I say shaking his hand. He smiles at me again.

"Annie?" Miss Laura calls out. "Yes, Miss?" I say innocently. "Come here." She orders. Argh. Great. I walk towards her desk.

"Yes, Ma'am?" I ask. She keeps her pen down and looks at me.

"As you see, Jack is new here."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Let me finish! As you see, he has no friends here and no one to guide him, right?"

"Right, ma'am."

"So, do you care just helping him cover up all the syllabus and exchanging some notes?"

"But, ma'am.."

"No but's dear, tell me can you? He'd be a great friend, trust me."

I sigh. "Okay, ma'am."

"Perfect! Now go back to your seat." She commands. This is awesome. Now, how in the world am I gonna spend time with my friends?!

Okay, I accept the fact that I, well, like him but my friends are more important. But this has to be a dream. A dream of Beauty and a Beast. Me, the beauty. Miss Laura, the beast. This can't be. How could this be? This is horrible.

Two hotties in the same class? Woah. This is gonna be good! Don't you think? Poor Annie, though. Will Annie realize about her real Prince Charming amongst them? Stay tuned to know!!
