From The Café To The Stage

A/N: I wrote this at 2 a.m. Don't ask what it's about, I don't remember. Given that, interpret it however you want! This is a couplet so traditionally you have each stanza, of two lines, rhyming. Have fun!

We met one year, on a cool fall day.
You sat down next to me in that small café.

We talked for hours it would seem.
And I thought 'surely this has to be a dream?'

Staring into your cool green eyes,
Soon I realized it was time to say our goodbyes.

I walked out of the shop, your number in my phone,
And I realized your name was still unknown.

We talked and talked, at least for a while.
Until one day, our schedules just started to pile.

We slowly stopped talking, we parted our ways,
Chalking what we had up to just a phase.

But look at you now, you're up there on stage.
While I'm still content re-reading our page.

...

Again, I have no idea what this was about. 2 a.m. is not a good time for me to be writing if I want to remember what it is about. If you're reading this I hope you enjoy my poems. If not then I'm sorry but that doesn't mean I'm quitting. Love y'all, have a good day!
