To All Of You

10 2 1

To the one who's broken
To the one who's empty
The one who's barely holding on
I pray that you hear this song
And find the strength to keep moving along

To the ones who are brave
The ones that are strong
Live your life to the fullest
But don't forget what you have
Because all too soon it'll all be gone

To the one that I love
The one that's perfect
The one that's true
You have such a spirit
I know that no one can ever break you.

To my family whose branches stretch far and wide
Further than just my Mom and dad's side
I thank you for everything you do
I love you all so much,
Through and through

To the ones who keep me alive
The ones who comfort me when I'm low
Even if you forget my face
If you never remember my name
I'll gladly be the only one to know
How much you all have done for me

A/N
This poem is only a couple of weeks old. I wrote it in acknowledgement to those whom I love and who have been there for me. The ones who keep me going every day of my life, even if they don't know it. When I was writing it I was in such a state of depression. At that time it was sort of a last goodbye, telling the ones that I love to stay strong and keep going without me. Now it's become a memory of those feelings I overcame. The fact that I chose not to end it all but to keep living for the ones this poem talks about. In the last stanza the first line was originally "To the ones who kept me alive" but after pushing myself through my pain and thoughts I decidedly changed it to what it is now.
