Children of the Moon are the creatures that has almost the same appearance as mortals do but change when the moon rises. This made it easier for them to hide and blend with humans. Werewolves, vampires and witches. They are the immortals who walk among us. Mortals think that they are cold-blooded and emotionless monsters.
Every Immortal has a birth moon, it is based on what phase the moon is when an immortal is born or turned.
Some nights where an Immortal's birth moon appears, their Alters took over. When their Alters took over, they are driven by their Id. Alters are very dangerous specially if an Immortal fails to control it. Immortals who are overpowered by their Alters were driven by rage and greed, losing theirselves in the process.
(Info: To summarize it, Id runs on pure instinct, desire, and need. It is motivated by the pleasure principle.)
Ravn is a vampire infamous of being ruthless to his enemies. In that era, there is still no treaty between the mortals and immortals. Vampires are free to hunt whenever and wherever they want. Ravn killed a man living in the woods, mistaking him as one of his enemies. He didn't know that that man is a witch's lover. The witch found her lover's lifeless body in the woods. The witch was enraged, she swore to find the one responsible for her man's death. Using her lover's memories before death, she was able to know what happened. She gave Ravn a curse that is more painful than what she felt, and he won't be able to forget that pain in a very long time.
