I walk into the changing room that is located at the very back of the small restaurant I work at. It was almost the end of my shift and I couldn't wait to start walking.
The restaurant serves Italian foods that were freshly made in that very same building. I started working here because the family were desperately trying to find workers for their small business that was growing. Like I said, I need the money. The family owned business never cared what background you came from, as long as you can do the job and be nice to people. That was also the benefits, no one asked about your life if you didn't want to talk about it. I love the people here but I'm not that close with them given the time I work isn't with a lot of people. Not many individuals come here in the middle of the night to eat so sometimes I leave earlier if Auntie lets me.
Just like right now, I get to leave early. I might go to the convenience store and grab myself a juice box and gummies. Let me be a child, okay?
My plans were immediately thrown in the trash when I heard Auntie say I need to serve one last customer before I leave. Honestly, whoever is having pasta and breadsticks this late at night is insane. Actually, no, they aren't insane but surely eat a lot.
I put my t-shirt that had the restaurant logo back on and then my dark green apron. My red-ish, brown hair was put into a ponytail and I wore glasses to prevent my clumsy self from tripping or hitting a wall. I grab the pen, note pad, and menu before heading to the customer's table.
"Good evening, welcome to Baslies'. My name is Akari. I can start you off with a drink. Anything you would like?" I say while I put the menu on the table and take my pen and note pad to start writing the date and time.
"Can I just get the specialty lemonade?" A male voice said. I finally look at the customer and notice the man. Yes, man, not boy, a man. His black hair covered his forehead. His eyes were so pretty, I swear I saw the galaxy in them. His sharp and small jaw structure made his nose and lips stand out more. How am I blessed with such perfection?! What did I do in my past life to deserve such angle before my eyes?
I mentally shake myself for my impression of him. "Ah, yes of course. Would you like to order something from the dinner menu now or would you like to wait?" I ask him while I write down what he wanted.
He smiles.
I could melt. His teeth showed while his eyes turned small.
"I will just wait, I'm waiting for someone."
"Ok, your Specialty Lemonade will be out soon." I say, finally turning to head to Auntie.
