For so long
We have all spun
In her orbit
As she,
She is the sun.
Her gravitational pull
Kept us close
Where despite our own axis
She was still our center.
No matter how far,
You could be light years away
But revolve around her.
Despite popular opinion
I am not someone else's moon
I am my own planet
Despite your declassification
Invalidation
And dismissal.
I have a whole galaxy
A whole universe
To explore.
I don't need your solar system
Or a Ray of Sunshine
As I finally break free
And come out of orbit.
