Engaged

It was the night of Shrishti and Sameer's engagement. The function was to be held in the Luthra House. All the Luthras were gathered together waiting for Aroras to arrive. The newest generation of Luthra kids were playing together. Neil, Nitya, and Ishani were doing masti happily together.

Preeta was doing her makeup in her room, sitting in front of her dresser when Karan comes in.

Karan: (impatiently) Babydoll, jaldi karo! Itna time kyu lagta hai tumhe taiyaar hone mai?

Preeta turns around and smiles at Karan causing him to widen his mouth and eyes in awe. He grew speechless seeing his beautiful wife in a glimmering beautiful golden lehenga. Her twinkling jewelry created a glowing aura around her. The sound of her anklets as she walked were playing like music to Karan's ears. Her slender, yet curvy body rhythmically moved towards him. He started moving towards her slowly, as she smiled with her rosy red lips seeing her effect on him.

Preeta: (twirls) Kaisi lag rhi hoon mai?

Karan grabs her by her waist and pulls her close to him. He admires her intensely, with a smile.

Karan: (lost) Like an angel from heaven

Preeta: (raises an eyebrow) Oho? Itni tareef?

Karan: (kisses her cheek) Aakhir The Preeta Karan Luthra ho tum

Preeta: (smiles) Achha?

Karan nods with a smirk, the two giggle looking at each other and join their foreheads together.

Karan: Waise, Mrs. Karan Luthra.. I was wondering if I could get a sweet surprise from you?

Preeta: (smirks) A sweet surprise? Well, i'm feeling generous today so, As you wish Mr. Luthra!

Preeta leans closer to Karan until their lips meet. They share a beautiful kiss unfortunately interrupted by—

Sameer: (comes in room) Karan bhai? (sees Preeran kissing) Oh shit!😂

Sameer turns around just as Preeran break their kiss shockingly.

Sameer: (awkwardly) Maine kuch nhi dekha!😂

Preeta giggles and Karan glares at Sameer.

Karan: (annoyed) Matlab hadd hai! Koi mujhe romance karni nhi deta!

Sameer: (narrows his eyes) Excuse me bhai? Yaha meri sagai ka mahurat hone waali hai aur aapko apni romance ka pada hai? Shrishti aur Sarla aunty aagaye hai isiliye bulaya aap dono ko.

Preeta: (happily) Aagaye woh? Aur Kabir aur Nisha bhi aagaye?

Sameer: Kabir aaya hai, lekin Nisha traffic mai fasi hai. She might be here any minute now.

Karan: Let's go then!

The three head downstairs, happy to see their family with them. Karan goes and hugs Kritika and Arjun who had arrived while Preeta goes to hug Shrishti and Sarla. All family members chit chat for a while.

Kabir was shown at the buffet looking around the engagement venue, just as Sherlyn approaches him with Neil holding her hand. Sherlyn was putting some food on Neil's plate as Neil looked at Kabir confused.

Neil: Kabir Uncle, aap kisiko dhoond rhe hai?

Kabir: (lost in thought) Um not really, it's not important.

Sherlyn: (suspiciously) Really Kabir? Because it looks quite important to me.

Kabir looks at the two embarrassed as Neil silently laughs.
