I nervously bite my nails as the music starts playing. I know Miranda will want to dance soon, but once she finds out that Austin wants to dance with me she will kill him.
"Omg, it's Young The Giant Katie! Lets go dance!" Before I could protest, I'm being dragged onto the dance floor where 1000 other bodies are dancing.
"Miranda! I don't want to dance!" I try to tell her over the blaring music.
"What?!" She asks. While people are shoving through and around us. I try to get through as I start losing sight of Miranda.
When I finally see her, I notice her talking to someone else.
I try to make my way through but then I see her enjoying herself, as she laughs at whatever the stranger said.
Being the best friend I am, I decide to leave her alone with her 'prince charming'.
I start to walk away, when I'm stopped by someone saying...
"Forgetting our deal aren't we here?" I stop in my spot, refusing to turn around. "Come on, just one dance."
"No!" I spit out, turning around annoyed of his presence.
I know what kind of guy he is, yes I practically cried when he called me beautiful, but I know exactly how he plays his game.
"Um excuse me?" He replies, looking a bit hurt.
"You heard me, I said no. Never been turned down I see." I say as I fold my arms over my chest.
"We made a deal, one dance or tell me your name." He said, taking a close step towards me.
"I'll tell you my name, then leave me the hell alone. Got it?" I reply, shoving him off of me.
"Alright, your name?"
"M-my name is... Rosie!"
"Beautiful name. Number please?" He asks, still not giving up.
"I said after I tell you my name, you leave me alone." Getting quite annoyed now, I walk away.
I head outside seeking for some fresh air. It was getting quite hot, with everyone dancing and the spotlights beaming on the dancer floor.
"Quite nice out here eh?"
"I said leave me alone!" I turn around expecting to see Austin, but instead a cute boy. "Oh my god, I'm sorry! I thought you were someone else!"
"Aha, not gonna lie I got quite scared!" He chuckles.
I smile back as I study his face that's not hidden by the mask. Greenish bluefish eyes, dark brown hair...
"You alright?" He asks waving his hand infant of my face.
"Oh sorry! I daydream a lot!" That was embarrassing!
"Yeah, I do that a lot as well. So you're the wedding planners daughter am I right?"
"I am! How do you know?" I asked curious to his question.
"My uncle is great friends with your mom, and she had told me which one you were in the crowd! And when I saw you, I definitely wanted to talk to you!" He says as we winks in my direction causing me to blush.
"Why thank you..." Expecting him to finish my sentence off with his name.
"Evan! I'm Evan and you must be Katie!" It's good hearing your proper name, instead of Nerdy Katie... Or Rosie.
"I am! Do you mind if I see your face behind that mask?"
"No not at all!" He responds, stripping off his blue mask. As I may say, he's one hot boy!
