How can she just lie to me like that? No one lies to me, and here Ner- I mean Katie comes around and lies like its her natural talent.

I don't know why it hurt, but it did. But why does my w-

"You okay? You sound a bit jealous a few minutes back!" Miranda grins, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Pfft, are you kidding Mands? Why would I be jealous! I can get any girl I want,baby." I wink, as I flip my hair dramatically.

"You know, you've changed. I remember you being such a weirdo, you still are. But before you embraced it and you were, amazing.. You've changed a lot though. I remember admitting that I fell for a total weird ass." She chuckles, surprising me by her statement.

Did I really change?

"I'm still the same Mands, I just don't trust people enough to get too close to me. I like keeping my distance." With that, I walk out and go to my room.

As I lay in my room, all I can think about are two things.

1) Evan

2) Katie

Why do I always think about her? At school, home, now and I never get her out of my head.

Ever since freshman year I've been curious about her. She's so mysterious, she's like a scared kitty. A cute one...

Damn it! There I go again, thinking about her...

Well I guess it makes sense now that I found out..

Oh god, I almost forgot she gave me the number.

I dig into my pocket to retrieve my phone and open a new text message to 'Rosie'

To: Rosie Gonzales a.k.a Nerdy Katie

Hey, it's Austin from the ball! Remember me babe? I'm the hot one ;)

I smirk, she's going to think she fooled me... Maybe making her fall in love with me will be easy. Obviously, I've gained some feelings for her..

I look over at the clock on the wall.. 4pm. It's been an hour since they've left. Why does it feel like its been forever, I need her back. It's weird because all of the girls in school is all head over heels for me, and here Katie comes acting like I'm normal.. Why does he have to choose her?

How will she ever react once she finds out that I'm a ......

My phone vibrates telling me I got a message...

Oh, the jerk that wouldn't leave me alone? ;)

I smile immediately at her response, it's crazy how this girl is making me feel over a simple text.. With a wink! I immediately type away...

To: Rosie Gonzales a.k.a Nerdy Katie

Call me anything babe! How about you tell me some more names over dinner? ;))

I know her, she'll decide whether or not to meet me... Look completely different, and never let me find out that she's Nerdy Katie..

After I turn the lights off in my room, I decide taking a nap for an hour won't hurt. Hopefully Katie will be home by then!

I tear my shirt off and jump in bed cuddling with my pillow.
