chapter 17

aliza's pov*
during the movie both gianluca and mattia fell asleep, gianluca laid on my shoulder while mattia has his head on my lap. i turn off the movie and carry gianluca to his room than tuck him in. i go back to the living room and mattia's cuddled up on the couch, i sit next to him, "baby. you wanna go lay in ur bed" i say rubbing his back, he wraps his arms around my waist and places his head onto my lap, "no" he whispers, "mattia" i say again after sitting there for a while, he gets up and goes down to his room. he lays in bed cuddling under the blankets, i brush my teeth and wash my face than change into some shorts and his shirt.
i crawl into bed facing the other way to plug  in  my phone, then i feel mattia's warm body come onto me with one hand over me, "i love you" i say, "i love you too" he kisses my head.

1 am*
i couldn't fall asleep and all i could think about was what i'd do without mattia, without realizing tears fall down my cheeks, mattia was fast asleep, i remove his arm and quietly grab my phone going out to the living room. i turn on the lamp and sit on my phone for a while, i hear footsteps and see gianluca. "why are you up?" i ask, he doesn't respond but comes into my arms, gianluca was being like my brother. i slowly fall asleep...

morning-
9 am^
mattia's pov*
i wake up to not feeling aliza on me. i get up rubbing my eyes and walk upstairs, i see aliza laying across the couch w gianluca on her. "gianluca" i whisper shaking him, i carry him up to his room after covering aliza with a blanket. i sit next to her and stroke her hair. she stares at me and furrows her eyebrows as her eyes adjust to the light. "i'm sorry" i apologize cupping her cheek, "why?", "gianluca" i say, "it's okay. i couldn't sleep so i came out here last night and he heard me so he js came to rest" she says sitting up.
"why couldn't you sleep?" i ask
she doesn't respond but lays her head on my shoulder, "you okay?" i ask, "yes" she goes to the bathroom.
