Chapter 1
It was my twenty-sixth birthday and no one cared, I was surprised my heart felt pained even though it knew that that the likelihood that anyone cared was minimal. In fact, since my mother died sixteen years ago, no one had seemed to care about my birthday.
I was what people would call extremely wealthy, but what was the point of being rich if you had no friends, and if your family hated you.
It wasn't like I could not make friends, but my father and half brother were convinced that I was defective and the only reason people came near me was because they wanted to extort money from me which in effect meant that our family had to pay out money. Their answer to this made up problem was scaring off any human being that came near me and threatening them with lawsuits.
I was even forced to stay home during college and had to be a day student, I was also not allowed to stay a minute longer after my classes ended, and was unable to go to campus parties or join any sororities like a normal college student.
After graduation, I was then forced to stay at home and wasn't allowed to work for reasons unknown to me. No matter how hard I protested, my so called father would either ignore me or keep me locked in my room.
I was simply a prisoner in my own home.
After a while of being lost in my thoughts, I decided to call the kitchen to ask if a birthday cake could be made as it was after all my birthday and cake was the basic birthday celebratory item.
"Hi Chef Parker." I said in a sweet voice.
"Young Miss how can I help you today?" Chef Parker asked in a professional way.
" Today is my birthday, I was wondering if you could make me a birthday cake?" I politely inquired".
The Line went dead silent.
"Ummmm...I am really sorry young Miss, but Master Stevenson has ordered that no more dessert can be sent to your room." Chef Parker finally said breaking the long silence.
"What?! Why?!" I cried out in disbelief.
"He says you're getting too big........" Chef Parker replied trailing off his voice as he got toward the word big.
"It's my birthday for goodness sake!" I shouted as tears filled my eyes.
"I'm really sorry Miss. I can send up a nice Caesar salad if you would like." He sorrowfully said.
"It's fine Chef Parker, Thanks for all your help" I responded with the little dignity i had left.
After I hung up, I broke into louder sobs, It wasn't my fault I was big, after having such a traumatising childhood, my only comfort was food. I wasn't even allowed to have a personal trainer, and every time I tried to use the private gym or pool in the mansion, I was always laughed at by my father.
My thoughts soon began to run wild.
I wish I was dead.
I wish I was never born.
I wish she never left me here.
I would give anything to run away.
A light bulb suddenly switched on in my head, and I asked myself why I hadn't tried running away before. Maybe I was too scared to think that whilst growing up, but I was now twenty-six, how long did that old piece of shit (My father) think he could keep me prisoner. I ran to my tiny desk and quickly began to plan my escape.
After a few hours of brainstorming, I had not come up with a feasible plan. Other than my father and half brother, I had no family I could run to or ask for help, I was simply powerless.
