Pokemon Arc: Continuing my journey (ft. being held captive TWICE)

I entered Lumiose tower with a smile on my face

I'm going to meet and battle Clemont! This is so cool!

I entered the door to be met with a room and a screen over a door. "How many badges do you have?" A robotic, yet childish voice emitted from the speakers. I froze up.

Uhh WHAT? I thought Clemont was the leader and Clembot left?! Where are we up to in the series? I thought this was after Ash left Kalos? Now what?! I know I have 4 badges, but if I lose I'll be literally thrown out, I don't exactly want to hurt myself any more than I have. What-

My out of control thoughts were brought back to a voice I recognised. "BONNIE! What did I tell you about playing with my inventions! Wait... Is that someone at the Gym?! Bonnie!" A series of apologies by a little girl followed the scolding as the new voice took over the speakers. "Sorry about that, challenger. Are you here for a battle?" I gulped "Yea, I am" I spoke up, finally being able to find my voice.

False alarm. Dang it Bonnie, you gave me a heart attack!

The doors to the gym opened and I entered inside, my excitement somehow contained. I was met with... a young girl kneeling before me.

Uhh... this is not what I was expecting. Oh wait, she must think I'm... OH

She spouted out some words about being a wife for her brother as mentioned brother ran out of a nearby room "Bonnie! I told you not to do that anymore!" An arm materialised from his backpack and grabbed on to her as she shouted in protest. Meanwhile, I stood there stunned as Bonnie continued "Ohh even better, she's around your age brother!" I finally snapped out of my thoughts as Clemont walked up to me with a red face. Bonnie was finally let down from the Aipom arm as she pretended to run away, only to hide behind a pillar and watch our interactions.

"Sorry about her, she does that to random girls who come here" He scratched his nape in embarrassment as I shook my head "Don't worry about it, little siblings can be like that. I would know, since I am one" I nervously chuckled as the mood lightened up.

A smile showed up on Bonnie's face as I continued speaking . "Also, you can come out now. I can see you hiding behind the pillar" She sulked as she walked out, her brother obviously surprised at the appearance.

Did she learn nothing from that one episode? Though, I am curious why she does that. But it's not my business.

Clemont recovered and started to talk. "So, you're a trainer right?" I nodded as he motioned to the arena "Let's battle then!" Bonnie went to sit on the side and watch when Clemont stopped her. "Bonnie, you shouldn't distract the challenger." She pouted as she started to walk off. "Wait" she stopped at my call. "She's not distracting me at all, she can watch. After all, she wants to become a trainer, Right?" Finished speaking as Bonnie looked at Clemont with hopeful eyes. He sighed as he stopped at the edge of the arena "Fine, she can watch. Just make sure to be careful, ok?" She nodded as Clemont and I started out battle.

The battle was quite close, seeing as I didn't have any ground types and some of my pokemon were weak to his. However, I was able to win with my six pokemon rivaling his 3. I cheered as Meowstic landed the final psychic on his heliolisk, effectively ending the battle. He drew back his pokemon as he grabbed a badge from who knows where and walked up to me. "This is the Voltage badge, awarded to trainers who defeat the Lumiose city gym" He handed the badge to me, in which I pulled out my badge case and put it in. "Your passion for battling inspires me!" He declared as he set a pose .

'Pfft- his stupid poses and cheesy lines remind me of you' An annoying voice entered my head 'Hey, don't call me annoying' I ignored her as I put the badge case back in my bag.
