At Princeton

"Did he answer?" I asked Foreman

"No, it goes directly to voicemail"

"Do you think something happened to him?" Thirteen asked.

"I don't know", I replied.

"For the first time, I don't know where he went. I asked his mom if he went home but..."

"Why would he go home?", Taub asked.

"Today is his dad's birthday and it's his first birthday after he died"

"House is a big boy, he can handle himself", Chase chime in.

"Have you seen him last night? He was pretty devastated after his patient died", Foreman confessed.

"You really think he can handle himself?" Thirteen asked.

"I don't know. I hope so...... I really hope so."

I went down for my clinic duty. I saw Cuddy in her office preoccupied. She seemed to be in panic so I went in and checked. As I opened the door I saw her eyes were puffy. It looks like she cried a lot last night.

"Are you okay?" I asked her while she was pacing back and forth in her office.

"Have you reached House yet?" she asked

"Well... his phone goes directly to voicemail. I called his mom but she doesn't know where he is. So I left a message on his voicemail. I will tell you once he text back"

"Uhmm. Okay. Thanks"

"What's going on?"

"Uhmm. Last night... I... Nothing" she smiled sadly

"I'm sure it's not nothing"

"No really. I'm fine"

"Okay. Just know you can talk to me, right?"

"Okay. Thank you"

I left her with uneasiness. I know something's wrong and I know that it's about House. But I guess she's not ready to tell. I just hope they're fine. I really hope so.

Cuddy

I wanted to tell him everything I said was not true. I was scared to take a chance because it's too big a chance. I thought that he will never change for anyone because he will always choose himself. But last night was different. He was different. I've never seen him so genuine. I've never seen him so broken. Truly broken.

I went to his apartment but he was already gone.
