wrong move

*my description of the episode is really bad, it might be good if you watch it but if you don't wanna welp im sorry*

Spencer left and went to go join Morgan. I shouldn't have let it get the out of hand. I should apologize, he thought walking up the steps to the house. after sifting through everything they've already looked at they went back to the small motel and called it a night. 

they woke up the next morning to news that they were in contact with Jordan, owens girlfriend. they struggled to get her to talk to first, but once they did they told her to escape. "now we just have to pray this works." Emily said anxiously. 

after about an hour Jordan showed up at he police station and told them that the last place she saw Owen was at the ranch they were staying at. the team got their vests one and made their way to the suvs. they drove out and got out of the car sending other police men in to clear the house. "Reid." hotch said. Reid stepped back and faced hotch. "you know how much I value you, we all value you. don't think that because of one mistake you are any less important." hotch looked at him with kind eyes. "thank you hotch. and I wanted to apologize about yesterday, I don't know what came over me. it won't happen again sir." he looked up with a shy smile feeling the butterflies in his stomach. 

they didnt find him at the house so they went back to the station. "he said he was going to return the necklace." he said as he walked outside with Emily following behind him. "if he wants Jorden then he'll come here." he looked up the street to see their suspect Owen coming down the street. "cover me" he says as he hands Emily his gun. "Spencer!" she yells just as the rest of the team comes and gets in position in case anything goes south. hotch watched with nervous eyes as Reid tried to talk with him. "what is he doing!" Rossi said as Reid looked back and repositioned himself. "he's blocking our shot." hotch said. a feeling in his gut told him something bad was going to happen. 

"just put down the gun Owen. this can all be solved if you just put it down." Reid was terrified but tried not to let it show. he slowly started to move it to the floor, but it a split second took a shot. he only got out one before Morgan shot and got him down. "SPENCER!" Emily screamed. he had put his hands to his stomach, but now they could see the blood seeping through his shirt, just below the vest. "call an ambulance!" Rossi shouted out just before Spencer hit the floor. Morgan was on the phone with 911, but hotch had already ran to Spencer. he put spencers head on his lap and then pressed one hand over where Reids hands already were. "youre gonna be alright." Aaron said smoothing the hair out of the boy on his laps face. "look at me, you're going to be okay Spencer." Aaron said once again trying not to let his voice break. 

Spencer looked up at him with a shaky smile, tears streaming down his face. Aaron wiped the tears off of his face his vision getting blurry with his won tears as the ambulance rolled up. they got him into the back of the ambulance and drove to the hospital is quickly as possible. Aaron slowly stood up and Emily rushed over. "I should've told him to stop." he said in a shaky voice before Emily took him in her arms. he was stiff, still in shock, but she hugged him anyway. she let her tears get his shirt wet, but he couldn't even move. he was terrified.
