"everyone's competing for a love they won't receive"

There's always that one person who has an enormous crush on another person, but that person doesn't notice. That was y/n and I. I liked her, but she seem not to notice.

I noticed that in high school, people were so in love, but they never received it from that person. They always tried to impress them, or if someone else liked that person, they try harder.

I never thought the point of that, if the person you like doesn't give you attention, then what's the point?

Currently, I'm with a few of my friends, Jack, Sam, Emily, Joanna, and Madison. We were having a fun time by the lake, and it was sunset. I got out my phone, went on Snapchat and snapped a photo of Emily dancing, Madison smiling, and Joanna on Sam's back.

It was a really nice picture.
