Not all punishments are bad (Choni story)

the day after

Cheryl POV:

After laying on the cold ground for about half an hour I stood up wincing at the very strong but bearable pain I started to walk back to thistle house I entered the house and went up to my room and straight to my bathroom and turned on the shower while I slowly undress as I finished undressing the bathtub was already filled I stepped in the warm water the water washing of the dry blood on my skin. As I sat there crying till I couldn't anymore after almost an hour I got up from the ground and pulled open the drain, letting all the blood mix with water fall down the drain.

I walked back to my room and grabbed one of my pajamas and put them on carefully not to touch my wounds after I put them on I laid on my bed I started reflecting on what happened today first the serpents came to our school then I got punished by spending a week with one of them for starting a fight the same girl who then defended me from my bully and stood up for me then we went to pops and then to sweetwater river for a talk and then back home where we kiss.

Wow, that went from 0 to 100 real quick,

But I can't stop thinking about that kiss. It felt so good or when she was looking at me in the car. The car. Omg I drove Toni how did she get home.

I glup up from my bed slightly wincing from the fast movement. I grabbed my phone from my night stand and called her. What if something happened to her? No, she's in a gang she can handle going home alone late at night right? But she does live on the south side. My mind started wander to many bad places and I could feel my anxiety rising but Toni's voice made me calm down.

"Hello?"

"Toni, it's Cheryl" I said in relief

"Oh hey Cheryl is everything ok? You voice sound kinda sore" she said through the phone

"Uh oh yeah no I'm fine I just called to check on you how did you get home I'm sorry that I got a bit carried away before you left" I said blushing

"Oh yeah haha I called my friend sweet pea. We went back to school and I got my bike and then went home."

"Ok that good" I said, mostly reassuring myself that she's safe.

"But umm hey cheryl are you ok? your voice sound kind sore" Toni asked with concern in her tone

I started panicking. What was I supposed to say? I can't tell her the truth. I just can't. "uh yeah i'm ok i guess i should have worn my scarf today haha" i said nervously.

"oh ok i guess see you tomorrow" toni said

" yeah see you tomorrow bye" i said through the phone

" bye" she said before hanging up. Wow that was close.

I lay back on my bed. It didn't even take me 5 minutes for me to fall asleep, I was really tired. I wake up the day after my body sore from the night before I got up and just sat on my bed it's my way of fully waking up i start zoning out as wait for my body to gather enough energy for me to start my day after what felt like an eternity I got out of my bed and walked to my bathroom I stud in front of the mirror observing the bruises on my body thinking how i would cover them today at school. My face didn't look that bad with some makeup it would be barely noticeable the big problem was my abdomen I looked and hurted pretty bad I don't know how ill be able to sit and stand up and i still have the vixens after school, ugh I'll just take my pain killers with me to school. My arms didn't look as bad as my abdomen but it definitely hurt when you touch it. I started to brush my teeth and think of what clothes I could wear to hide my bruises. I could wear my turtleneck cherry top with my denim black jeans and black heels, wait not scratch that with my red high heel bottes.

After I finished brushing my teeth and washing my face carefully so as not to touch my bruises, I walked to my wardrobe and put on my outfit that I had already planned. After that I walked to the dresser and put on my makeup making sure to hide my bruises. After putting my shoes on I took my car keys, bad and phone sprinting out of my house trying to avoid my mother at any cost. I got in my car and drove to pops and got breakfast. It was 7:13 so I had plenty of time to fetch me a quick breakfast.

When I reached the school's parking lot it was 7:42. I sat waiting for toni in my car so I could enter the school. She should be here any minute in the meanwhile I was scrolling through my insta till I heard a knock on my car window. I look up and see Toni there.
