In the farthest corner of the realm of gods there was a tall tower, inside of the tower there was a girl as beautiful as a flower, but there was an air of melancholy around her.
The girl was locked up all her life and the only way she knew the outside world was through books. She read and read, but she couldn't understand why she was locked up like this. The girl longed to live like the people in the books she read.
"Why am I here? Please let me go out." she would shout as she was brimming with tears.
"It is the only way to protect you," a mysterious voice would reply
Every single time the voice would say the same thing, she couldn't understand why she needed protection? Even if this was to protect her, she didn't wish for this protection that took away her freedom, she wouldn't wish for it in a million years.
Cynthia, that was the name the mysterious voice called her.
Cynthia was crying from loneliness at first, but then she embraced it because that was her reality. She eventually beacame friends with the voice, even though the voice didn't say much at the very least it talked to her.
"What is your name?"
"That is something you cannot know"
"Then then can I ask you something you can do?"
"Of course my master."
"Will you please become my friend?"
"Yes, master" the voice said sounding a bit emotional
Then one day suddenly the gates of the tower shook, the light coming in blinded Cynthia and a figure of a beautiful lady clad in black approached her. She had beautiful black hair covered with a hat as dark as her hair, and ice like blue eyes. There was only one way to describe this woman, she was deadly beautiful.
The lady took a close look at Cynthia and frowned a little
"Those clear grey eyes, the blond hair and the boring personality of yours, you honestly are just like your father "
"What are you talking about? I have a father?" Cynthia asked, overwhelmed.
"Little girl, do you want to get out of here? How about making a deal with me? " The lady said ignoring Cynthia's questions.
"And why should I listen to a stranger like you? " No matter how desprate she was, she simply wasn't stupid enough to make a deal with a complete stranger.
At that, the lady smiled, amused by Cynthia's unexpected question
"Because If you don't, I will kill you"
A chill crept over Cynthia as she heard the threat
"stop that bullshit, you f*^&ing piece of trash," Someone shouted as she stood in front of Cynthia protectively. It was an angle with big white wings. Her blond hair fluttered as she flew, and her green eyes were flaring.
"Oh my, would you look at that a swearing angle," The black-haired women said
"Abaddon take one more step and I will burn you to ashes," The angle warned
Abaddon smirked, "I have hunted many creatures before, but this will be the first time I will hunt an angle."
Abaddon? Abaddon, the god slayer Cynthia had read about. Cynthia couldn't believe her eyes. Thank goodness she fell for the demon's charms. The Demon that stood in front of Cynthia was so cunning that making a deal with her was like selling your soul to devil itself.
"The prey will be you thunderc#nt"
sparks of darkness and light surrounded them as Abaddon and the angle clashed, the tower shook, and Cynthia desperately tried to hang on to dear life.
"raise my beloved locusts"
An army of huge grasshopper looking creatures raised from the ground beneath them to heed Abaddon's command and attacked the angle.
the angle sighed "You think you can kill me with a bunch of bugs, I thought there was more to your sorry a*$"
A bright light shone as the angle summoned a blazing sword, with that sword the angle she incinerated the summoned monsters as if they were mere bugs
The Demon chanted a strange spell and the locusts became faster and stronger, the battle was fierce.
Blood was everywhere, the tower was in ruin. A wounded angle and an unconscious Abaddon were at a distance from Cynthia.
The blood-soaked angle flew towards the young girl and said, "You must leave here master, it's not safe anymore. I will open a portal to the human realm immediately."
Master? That was the voice in the tower called her
"Are you the one who spoke to me every day?".
The angle looked towards the ground
Cynthia smiled and said, "thank you for....... being my friend" tears were welling up in the young girls eyes as she finally got to see her friend, her very first friend
the angel nodded as she too had tears in her eyes
"Can I ask you one more question before I leave?"
"Yes"
"What is your name?"
"Uriel"
"Uri..el?"
"Yes, master"
Uriel created a huge portal in front of Cynthia as she said, "Master if you ever need me, make sure to call my name real loud, Okay?"
"Thank you.... Uriel" Cynthia said as she disappeared into the light.
And so Cynthia's journey of self-discovery began. A whole new world was waiting for exploration and she wanted to experience every thing and if possible she wanted to help her friend Uriel too someday..
