As we landed, Olly and I were escorted off the plane first to meet an ambulance who was waiting in the forecourt.

‘This is Olly; he had a blue and floppy episode after aspirating on a sip of vodka and coke. Poor respiratory effort, I applied firm stimulation, jaw thrust and Oxygen therapy and colour was regained at about 1 minute of incident. I’ve kept the oxygen on as we didn’t have any way of monitoring sats; I’d recommend a chest X-Ray’ I smiled handing over to the paramedics; thankgod they spoke very good English

‘Sounds like this lady saved your life…’ one of them smiled at Olly

‘Thankyou so much….’

‘Its fine…im sure everything at the hospital will be fine’ I smiled leaving him in the ambulance and re-joining my friends

‘He’s going to be fine; don’t worry, he will be at the hotel in no time’ I smiled reassuring his friends

‘thanks to you, you saved his life’ one of them smiled

‘Its what any other doctor would have done, I was just in the right place at the right time’  smiled as myself Emma and Molly made our way to reclaim our baggage

……………………………………………………………….

It was nearly an hour’s drive to our spa and hotel resort, which gave me time to reflect on the situation that had happened on the plane. After talking it over with the girls I felt a lot better and ready to forget it.

Check in was swift and we were allocated the executive suite we would be sharing for the two week holiday. After locating my bikini we found ourselves relaxing by the outdoor spa pool with a champagne flute full of champagne and orange juice. This was the life.

‘So do you think you’ll ever see Olly again?’ Kelly asked peering over her sunglasses

‘Probably not, theres plenty of nice hotels on the island’

‘That’s a shame…he would have been perfect for you’

‘Molly! That thought didn’t even cross my mind, he was pretty poorly on the plane, that’s all I was focussing on’ I explained

‘Still would have been nice if they’d been in the same hotel’ Kelly added

We spent the rest of the day sunning ourselves by the pool and drinking champagne along with canapes waiters had brought us. The hotel was so posh and the way we were treated, I felt like royalty which was a million miles away from my real life, I never wanted to leave.

Kelly had managed to get hold of V.I.P tickets for different events during our stay due to her work; She was one of the executive producers for MTV. So tonight we were attending a DJ set at one of the famous hotels, sounded interesting.

*4 hours later*

‘You’ve been very lucky Mr Murs’

‘I know…’ I sighed feeling pretty stupid ‘I don’t know how it even happened’

‘Sometimes when too much alcohol is consumed, our reflexes arnt as quick as they should be, hence why you breathed in your alcohol as opposed to swallowed it, and the pressure in the aircraft will have made you feel more drunk than you actually were’

‘Well I’ll never drink and fly at the same time again’ I coughed

‘You will probably have that cough for a couple of days, but your xrays are clear so you can continue on your holiday with caution’

‘Thanks for your help’ I smiled

‘Its not me you should be thanking, it’s the girl that saved you’ he smiled. That made me think, I didn’t even know the girls name, or anything about her, I really needed to find her, to thank her properly
