I woke up, with not that much on me. Just a breathing tube and an IV. My head did really hurt though. I turned my head to my left to see a male doctor checking my IV. I noticed he was actually really cute. (YALL WAIT FOR IT JUST MF WAIT FOR IT AHHH)
???: oh hey.
Riley: hi...
??: im your nurse while your in here.
Riley: what happened exactly?
???: well you overexerted yourself too much. don't worry you shouldn't be in here too long. I'll take good care of you.

mattias PoV: I sat in the waiting chair, anxious and full of regret. I shouldn't have said that. Fuck. I looked up as soon as I heard the door close. A male nurse came up to me.
???: your here for Riley Cosentino?
Mattia: yes.
I said immediately.
???: relation?
Mattia: friend...well....it's complicated.
The nurse nodded his head slowly.
???: she's getting better. she'll be released tomorrow morning.
Mattia: okay thank you may I see her?
???: sure.
He stepped aside and let me through. I opened the door and looked to see Riley a smiling mess, as she turned around. Though when she made eye contact with me, her smile faded slowly. That kinda hurt.
Mattia: hey, how you feeling?
Riley: fine besides the pounding headache. they said i was just over exerted.
Mattia: oh well that's good.
The awkwardness in the room was ASTRONOMICAL (jpjp)
It became very silent, because we were both waiting for the same thing. My apology.

She looked at her phone.
Riley: you have a class in 30 minutes.

Riley: I linked all our calendars for the wedding.
I smiled big. She never was one to be dis-organized. That's just Riley for you.
Mattia: well, bye. get better.

I left the hospital and drove to class, not knowing what was to come very soon within the next couple of days...
