I woke up, yawning because I was a little tired still. I rubbed my eyes trying to wake up when I got a call. Kairi?

Riley: Kairi?

Kairi: what's this I hear about you and Maiya conspiring against me!!??

Riley: oh uh- hey Riley nice to talk to you, when's the last time we talked like 6 years ago, also where the hell are you-

Kairi: I'm about the board a private plane right now, I'm in New York I gotta get to a practice but don't change the subject?!

Riley: you're in New York?! A-and you didn't visit me?!

Kairi: I had to take care of some business.... but back to you and Maiya!!

Riley: relax, I'm taking Maiya to the wedding, she wants to see you. She wants to ask you if you can make an appearance at Passaic, It's career day, and she wants you there.

Kairi: about that...

Riley: no. no no no no Kairi you PROMISED!! What would I tell Maiya?!

Kairi: Riley I promise I'm trying but I'm so busy.

Riley: bullshit.

Kairi: if I go to that wedding, I get suspended.

Riley: are you kidding me?! You've never missed a game in your career and they'll suspend you for making it to one wedding?!

Kairi: I know, it's stupid. They won't just let me go. Though I think I can do the career day at Passiac. The wedding though-

I hung up. I'm done having him disappoint the family over and over again. It hurts. I got up and had work so I changed into the uniform. I'm pretty sure I'm on dry-cleaning duty today. Lovely. I headed to work, pretty annoyed with everything. I texted Maiya.

I don't wanna go anywhere, do anything, just lay in bed, feel sorry for myself, and eat leftovers or something. I'm sure skipping a few classes wouldn't be too bad right? Basically, my best friend just broke up with me. Kairi just broke up with me. 10 years of Mairi and he just left me. Damn. The wedding is this weekend, and I'll have to be there....next to Kairi. FUCK.

I wiped the sweat off my forehead as I jogged to the bench, drinking some water. Coach looked scared or something.

I smack my forehead is frustration, of course only she would do that. The team laughed at me and started talking up a storm.

Coach: uh, how many days is it? Three? You got it, just please keep your sister in New York.

He walked away into his office. I stood in shock, and the chatter fell quiet. Did- I- uhh okay. I guess I'm going to a wedding. I smiled and set my water down, heading back out to the field.
