chapter 9

Riley: I can't believe it's a month away!

Amanda: I know, I'm nervous.

It's now been a few weeks since everything has settled down. Roshaun and Alvaro are borderline of NJ so their also pretty close by. Wedding Planning was almost finished and today we had cake testing. aka my favorite part of wedding planning.

Riley: omg this one, this is the one.

Amanda: you've said that about the last three?

Riley: this is difficult!

Alejandro: hey I'm here! Sorry about being late.

Riley: why he here?

Amanda: it's his wedding too😂 I thought it's our cake, so he should be here too.

Alejandro gave Amanda a quick kiss, and it made me feel lonley. I want that.

???: this one is kind of a mixture of Strawberry and-

Riley: this is gonna be the one. I know it-

Amanda: girl💀💀

We tried it and our eyes all widened.

Alejandro: wait that's actually...

Amanda: that's fucking amazing.

She said as she stuffed her face with it once again. Alejandro laughed as he wiped frosting off her cheek. They looked so happy. They really deserve everything good coming their way.

Riley: will Kairi be at the wedding?

Alejandro: yup! He said he wouldn't miss it for anything!

I smiled so big. I haven't seen Kairi in person in 14 months. He's really busy. A lot. We confirmed our order and design for the cake and all left, driving to the house to plan some more.

I left the classroom, and caught Carlys arm. She turned around, confused.

Carly: mattia? what's up?

Mattia: I- uh..I was wondering if you'd like to..hang out. Sometime? Not a date or anything- unless you want to-

Carly: that sounds great, actually.

She smiled at me. I sighed and smiled in relief.

Mattia: could I get your number?

Carly: sure.

She entered her number in my phone and walked off as she said bye to me. I smiled and waved back. Maybe this wouldn't be so hard after all....
