"Calm down, Sam."

Sam squirmed in his seat, his back to a mirror.

You were getting a little annoyed with Sam. "You agreed that you would get a haircut every couple months. It's been 5."

Sam took a deep breath and folded his hands in his lap. "You're right (Y/N). I can do this. Go ahead."

You picked up the scissors and cut off a piece of hair. You taunted Sam by dropping the hair in his lap. He picked it up and stared at it. You knew Sam loved his hair but it did need to be trimmed.

You continued to cut, or trim, Sam's hair. With every snip he cringed. You found it quite amusing.

By the time you were done "trimming" Sam's hair, he had his eyes closed and refused to open them. There was a ring of hair around his chair but you hadn't cut much. Only an inch. Or two. Or maybe three.

"I'm done, Sam. You can open your eyes."

Sam slowly opened his eyes and turned to look in the mirror. He ran his hand through his hair, his eyes widening. "You said you were only going to take off a little! You took off at least 2 inches!"

"It's still down to your shoulders. Don't complain." It wasn't a mistake. You knew what you had done. Sam obviously didn't want you to cut off as much as you did. But he needed it so you weren't sorry.

"Don't complain?! You took off double what I thought you were going to!" Sam was furious. "That's the last time I let you cut my hair!" He stormed off, leaving you to sweep his hair off the floor.

You yelled at him as he left. "Your majestic mane needed it, Moose!"
