Tye's stomach had been well acquainted with her throat as she plummeted through the black pit. She had only caught glimpses of the other people thrown in there with her.
Jasper screaming at the top of his lungs, Tye would have laughed if her lungs hadn't stopped working, Omega looking more panicked than Tye had ever seen her, White, arms crossed and dress acting as a parachute and Cheshire looking like he was having too much fun doing flips and other acrobatics.
She had also passed many objects, but the thing that set her off was that they were falling up instead of down.
She was now falling beside Hatter who was sipping on a cup of tea that he had plucked out the air, legs crossed, acting like he couldn't care less he was plummeting to his death.
"How are you so calm?" Tye had meant for her voice to sound annoyed, it came out more of a squeak.
Hatter glanced from his tea to Tye, raising an eyebrow.
"Once you've done this as many times as I have my dear, you begin to find it tedious." he says, as if it's the simplest answer in the world.
"You've done this before!" Tye shrieks, immediately covering her mouth at the hysteria coating her voice.
"Well of course, how do you expect me to get to Zerence? I'm not just going to walk, though I had hoped that I wouldn't have to see this place for a while." he says a little bitterness seeping into his voice.
Tye opened her mouth to ask more questions, but was distracted by the sudden light that blinded her.
When she finally opened her eyes, she found herself sitting comfortable in a tree, with a cat in her lap.
Well it was less of a cat and more of a tiger. Well if tigers were a neon pink with violet stripes and giant condescending smiles.
It calmly got up, stretching and effortlessly jumped down from the tree, down onto an unsuspecting Jasper, who screeched like a two year old, flailing his arms in an attempt to get the feline off his back.
Tye started laughing, and it soon turned hysterical as she remembered everything that happened. She clutched her stomach, tears pricking her eyes. She laughed so hard, she barely noticed falling off her perch and onto the soft grass below. Thankfully her branch hadn't been high, her fall making her laugh all the harder.
After what felt like forever, she had calmed down enough to stand up.
Her knees wobbled, almost sending her face into the ground.
She looked to see what the others were doing.
Omega was thoughtfully inspecting the trees, their brightly colored leaves sometimes drifting down.
Tye wasn't worried about the ones that were green, red, orange, and yellow. Instead she studied the blue and purple assortments that blocked out the sun.
She felt something pass beside her leg, and looked down to see the cat from before weaving it's way in a figure eight between her legs.
She bent down to scratch under its chin, the cat producing a deep rumble in its throat.
"Well come along, we don't have all day." Tye looked over at White. She had bunched up her dress and had started walking towards a path. It looked more like a mushroom and less like a majestic gown.
Tye's eyes went wide as she was the bunny ears and white cotton tail that had appeared on the woman.
Again no questions could be asked as White set a brisk pace down the path.
