Staring back at Tye from the mirror was not the picture of a proper well mannered lady that she was expecting, now no longer in a peach dress, but a floor length midnight black one. A slit had appeared in the middle, going to a little past her knees, revealing black knee high leather boots. Red hearts went from her red and white corset to the beginning of the slit. The corset was tied in the front with black lace which brought Tye's attention back up to her shoulders. The dressed stooped lower than she would have liked, her shoulder bare, and the only puffy sleeves being the only remnant of the dress she had on before, or still had on?
Tye was confused that she hadn't felt the peach dress come off, much less the addition of the new elements of the dress.
She caught Hatter's smug smile in the mirror.
"I assume that you don't completely hate the dress?" He asks, a hint of a challenge creeping into his voice.
Tye decides to play along.
"You're right I don't completely hate it." Hatter's raised eyebrows were a good compensation to her wounded pride. "I absolutely despise it." she finished, a big smile plastered to her face.
Hatter grimaced.
"I should have expected that, your pride being more important than your true feeling." He says simply, giving her a venom filled smile, turning on his heel and leaving the room.
Tye watches him leave slightly taken aback by his change of attitude. She shakes off the feeling that maybe annoying him this much might be a mistake, letting her eyes roam to her face.
She stifled a gasp as she caught sight of it. Somehow she was wearing a bright red lipstick, covering up the little scar on her lip, and light pink had been dusted across her cheeks. Her eyes somehow went from a more toned down blue, to practically bursting with color.
She unconsciously traced the scar on the bridge of her nose. Arena 13 she recalled flinching at the brutal entrance exam to Fenrir. They had been forced to fight to the death. By the end Plague, no Tye, had the most blood on her hands and the most gruesome ways to get it there.
Warning: Graphic depictions of violence begins here can be skipped, not that important.
The thing that was most ingrained in her brain was what she did to one of the most feared contestants in the competition.
He had put a dead gutted fish in her room the night before their fight with the words "Go home you little useless bitch" written in it's blood across the wall.
She hadn't slept at all that night, leaving the fish there as a reminder of why she was working herself to the bone.
The day of the fight came and Tye went into the ring with nothing but her bare hands as weapons.
He had sneered and belittled her, the look on his face being all the more priceless when he was gutted with her bare hands.
She still remembers the feeling of his still beating heart in her hands, warm and bloody, and oh so amazing. The look on his face as she slowly squeezed the life out of him had been so priceless.
Warning over ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her ability to do something so gruesome so easily and not flinching in the slightest was the reason she had been so desired at Fenrir.
If she had the right motivation she would kill without hesitation.
Tye sighed. She didn't even know if she was going to get back to Fenrir, being stuck wherever the heck she was with a bunch of criminals and people fit to be in an insane asylum, off the see the queen of said asylum maniacs.
"Plague come on we have to go" Omega yelled at her from outside her door.
Tye grimaced. How could a long time friend of hers respect her privacy while some supposedly well mannered man she just met not.
She walks towards the door, stepping out into the dim hall and taking the awed faces of her comrades.
Jasper had choked on his water, coughing and wheezing in the corner, Omega's eyes went wide and a wide smile spread across her face.
"Never thought I would see the day that Plague wore a dress." She says jokingly.
Tye rolls her eyes but doesn't stop the smile from appearing on her face.
Omega had been given a beautiful floor length lilac dress, a summery yet sophisticated look for the older woman.
"Well come on, we really must be going, the queen hates to be kept waiting." White interjects.
She was dressed in the same dress that she had come here with the only difference being the tail and ears.
The group filled out of the cottage, greeted with two carriages being drawn by mice and guided by headless butlers.
White, Omega and Jasper got into the closest one, leaving Tye with Hatter and Cheshire.
Hatter held the door open with a flourishing bow, and Cheshire ushered her inside.
Tye was now trapped between the window and Cheshire. He had fixed up his disheveled appearance, in a deep violet overcoat that matched the design of Hatter's. Something soft brushed her thigh and Tye almost lept out of her skin. Looking down, she shouldn't have been surprised to see a fluffy pink and purple tail belonging to Cheshire.
Hatter cleared his throat and brough Tye's attention back to him.
"A few things to remember before we get to the palace; Don't speak to the queen unless spoken too or you'll be beheaded, don't eat before her majesty takes the first bite or you'll be fed to the Flappersnaps,..." Hatter went on for a good few minutes as Tye tried to recall all the ways not to die a grisly death. "And finally don't beat her in croquet."
Tye was almost afraid to ask what would happen if she did.
Hatter seemed to notice the furrow in heer brow.
"This one is probably the least severe punishment, you'll simply get eaten over the head with the queen's croquet club as many times as she sees fit."
Tye swallowed the lump in her throat. So many rules and so little time to remember them all.
She felt a slight nudge in her side.
"Don't worry just stick with us. We'll make sure you don't get hurt." Cheshire says reassuringly.
Tye gives him a smile in return, only to be almost shot head first into Hatter as the carriage came to a halt.
"Seems we've arrived." He says motioning to the door.
