Asa Benoist"Soo how are you?" Irene asked, whilst putting away a few dresses. "I'm okay. How are you?" Asa replied, leaning in her seat. After Shawn left in the morning, she had called up Irene, her friend from Vintage Affairs, and she was currently in her shop, just talking about things.
"I'm great. Been a bit busy with the shop but that's a good thing." Irene giggled, checking herself out in the mirror. She had curls in her hair, and wore perfect makeup that complemented her and her flawless skin. "My boyfriend has been being super sweet, and I want to go on a date with him but I've been busy." Irene said, hanging a few more dresses on a rack.
"Oh. I say go for it. Ask for some time off." Asa commented as she watched the young girl work.
"Hey, how did the gala thingy that you told me about go?"
Asa thought back to that day and smiled, thinking of Jared. "Good actually. I met this man that I saw once before at my old work." She said and Irene grinned, coming over to her and giving her attention.
"Is he hot?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows. "A little. But i'm engaged." Asa told her and Irenes face turned to a frown.
"How's your hubby then?"
"Out of town."
"So your totally gonna get it on with this other man in the mean time right?" Irene asked, and the little voice in Asa's head said "I'd love to!". "No. I want to remain loyal." She stated and sighed. "Well do you love him?" Irene asked intently, and Asa pondered the question. Did she love him? I mean she wanted the best for him and wouldn't want to hurt him. But did he love her?
"Yeah?"
Irene narrowed her eyes at her, crossing her arms.
"Why do you sound so unsure?" "Well how do you know you love your boyfriend?" Asa retorted. "I just know. I can feel it, and it's not just my kitty talking. He's everything I need and makes me feel complete whenever I'm around him." Irene spoke fondly, smiling to herself.
Asa nodded, and looked up to the roof.
Do I feel complete with him? She asked herself and dwelled on it. She knew the answer right away.
The sound of the door ringing caught their attention, and they both looked to the door. "Welcome to Vintage Affairs, I'll be right with you!" Irene called out, turning to Asa. "I guess I'll go. Thanks for your wise words, yoda." Asa joked and Irene giggled a bit, hugging her.
"Come back soon kay babes?" She asked and Asa agreed, leaving the store.
She looked around the mall, eyeing the food court.
Nah, I'm not hungry, she told herself as she made an exit, headed to her car. When she got in, she pulled out of the lot, driving to her own home. Should probably call about that job.. Asa cursed and took her phone out, keeping her eyes on the road. She pressed the already saved contact of Jared and pressed call on the screen.
"Was wondering when you'd call." His voice spoke through the phone after the first ring and she took a breath in, watching the cars around hers as she stopped at a red light.
"What's the soonest I can start?" She asked, glancing at the light every now and then.
"Tomorrow. Monday. 8 AM sharp. So is this a yes?" He spoke, sounding busy in the background. "Yes it is." "Great. See you then." He spoke and hung up, seeming rushed. Huh. The light switched to green, and she turned, pulling into a pharmacy store.
I could buy him some chocolates or something for helping me that night, she thought as she went inside, and she purchased Ferrero Rocher's (they are amazing if you've never had any), along with some tampons and birth control pills. "30.49" The cashier spoke and she swiped her card, leaving the store with a thank you.
