Venice, a city where significant historical heritage is created from conflict with other neighboring cities to art and culture that can be seen greatly impacting the modern world. A rich land filled with so much architecture and love, yet collided with the sea that streams through the city and slightly brushes up along the buildings. Venice is a unique city, which is exactly why you wanted to move there. Yet, the only problem is that you're currently only there to travel and the housing market isn't that great at the moment. You walked around Venice, glancing around each sign ahead of you for a restaurant to eat. Each sign was filled with eye catching symbols and colors of sales and advertisements trying to pull customers into each store. After a long day of the bright sun glossing over your smooth skin and adventurous attractions, you needed to find a place to relax and fill the hunger that's increasingly irritating you every step. Suddenly there was a small restaurant in the corner of the street that caught your attention, yet you couldn't figure out why you instantly became attached to this restaurant. It's like your mind and heart was pulling you towards this restaurant, so it was necessary that you went.
You sprinted to the door, with a wave of relief washing over you when you realize that it's open. A waiter greeted you with a wide smile. Something about the waiter caught your attention, perhaps it was the strange curl on the side of his head or his bubbly attitude.
"Ciao! Welcome! I'll show you to your table!" He said excitedly. He picked up a menu and guided you to a small wooden table for two. He pulls out the chair for you, and you sit down with a grin and a slight blush forming on your cheeks. Every time you made eye contact with the waiter, you couldn't help but notice his gorgeous eyes. They were melting soft amber eyes, a stunning mix between a copper tint with gold hues, which flowed into each other gorgeously. "What would you like today?"
You quickly snapped out of your fantasizing thoughts and opened the menu. You ran your finger across each item on the menu, reading each description of every dish. Each dish looked so delicious to the point where it was tempting just to order one of every dish, which made deciding on a dish or two a lot more challenging.
"Can i get your phone number?" You hesitated and accidentally said out loud, immediately covering your mouth with your hand from embarrassment. The waiter froze for a second and blush rapidly formed across his face. He bursted out giggling and replied "Sì, of course!" He pulled out a pen from the pocket on his waist apron and wrote his number on a napkin and gave it to you. Even his handwriting is attractive, you thought to yourself. "I'm so sorry! Sometimes I say things without thinking!!" You repeatedly apologized to the waiter, with your face still red from embarrassment. "It's fine, I thought it was cute." He laughed, his lips were still curled upwards to show a bright, broad smile.
"I would like a plate of Spaghetti please.." He nodded and ran off to the kitchen. You gazed at the napkin, noticing a name that was neatly written on it. Feliciano Vargas, you read to yourself. Just as you thought this man couldn't get more handsome, his name proved you wrong. You pulled out your phone and carefully put in his number, still amazed that you were able to get his number. After a few minutes, he came back with your food and sat on the other side of your table. "Look, I even brought you a few desserts that I really enjoy, like gelato!" He said cheerfully. "...And don't worry, I'll pay for it!" He winked.
You thanked him for the kind gesture and started eating. You took a bite of the spaghetti and your eyes widened, immediately impressed with how the dish turned out. Something was just so appetizing about the spaghetti and perhaps it was the homemade tomato sauce that was just so flavorful because of the tomatoes and other various herbs and spices or it was the Parmesan or ground beef. No matter what was in it, it was still delicious regardless, and definitely satisfied the gnawing emptiness in your stomach.
"What's your name?" Feliciano asked, staring at you fondly.
"Oh! My name is Y/N!"
"That's a beautiful name!" He replied, his cheeks turning into a small tint of red. As time went on, you glanced out the window and noticed that the blazing sun that basked the room with brightness and warmth was quickly starting to set. You decided it was time to say goodbye to Feliciano, as the time was starting to creep up to closing time and you figured he would need to clean before the store closes anyways. As you were leaving the store, Feliciano clasped his arms around your waist, pressing his chest against yours. His hugs felt so warm and peaceful, you thought to yourself. "Ciao y/n! I'll text you later!" He said contentedly, removing his arms from your waist and separating himself from you. You noticed an uncontrollable heat that rushed to your face, making a noticeable hue of red appear on your face. You nodded and exited the store, still in disbelief of the events that happened today.
