"So like, what do you wanna have?"
"Anything." She said.
"Well then, I'll just bring a chunk of dirt." Chase joked.
"Hey!"
"Chill. I'm kidding."
"Good. You better be." She said.
They both laughed. Marshall came into the room where they were, holding something in his hand. More accurately, a bag with something inside of it. Skye instantly recognised the scent.
"Is that Domino's?" She asked, excited.
"Yup. That's our lunch!" Marshall said as he kept the bag on the bed and opened it up, revealing 3 small pizzas with 3 veg parcels and garlic bread.
"The cavalry, has arrived." Marshall said, as he opened the boxes. The 3 dug in as if they hadn't eaten a meal in forever.
"I have missed you Domino's, she said, licking the sauce off her fingers.
"Geez, I forgot how tasty this was."
"Well, that's not it." Marshall said as he pulled out a big bottle of cola, along with some glasses full of ice.
"No way dude."
"Yeah. Lunch is on me today."
"How much did it all cost?" Chase asked, curious.
"Not much, just like, $400, ish." He said. Both of them looked at him. "Guys, why are you looking at me like I've asked you for your kidney?"
"Isn't that a wee bit too expensive?" Chase asked, with a slight bit of sarcasm.
"Well, I mean, yeah. The 3 pizzas, parcels, the garlic bread, the cola, some snacks for the little puppers, and the waffles." Marshall said.
"The what?"
"The waffles. I ordered 3 for you." He said as he showed them the waffles, covered in vanilla ice cream and Nutella.
"I'm not eating that. I'm full." She said, but one look at the waffle made her think twice. "But that does look quite tempting."
"Uhh, Skye? Weren't you on a diet?"
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. Today was my cheat day." She giggled
"So, maybe you should have it. I mean, a cheat day comes only once a week." Chase suggested.
"Well, maybe we'll have it after dinner." She said.
"Yeah. That sounds fine, especially considering the huge pile of food we just ate. That's gonna take a long treadmill run to lose." Chase said as he got up and took all the empty boxes with him to the trash bin.
"Wait. You guys have a treadmill?" She asked, kind of surprised.
"And more. It's in the basement. C'mon, let's go." Marshall said as the three went down to the basement.
When Skye entered the basement, she was blown away. It was as big as the house, and it came with 2 layers.
"You guys have a 2 layer basement?" Skye asked.
"Yup."
They went to the exercise room. There were 3 treadmills, dumbells, bench presses and what not. It was like a gymnasium in there. Even the walls were covered with mirrors, just like in real gyms.
"I mean, this is cool and all, but, why do you guys need all of this stuff when you could just, go to the gym, or, jog outside instead of on the treadmill?" She asked, confused.
Chase walked up to her, and smiled. "Skye, how long have you been living here for?"
"Uhh, about 2 months now."
"Ah. That's why. This place is frequently hit by hurricanes, and thunderstorms are very common here. That's why, we have all of this, to never miss any exercises." He said as they all got pn the treadmill.
"But, why do you need to be buff? Kids shouldn't really get ripped. Plus, there's no real need."
"You don't get it. Do you know why we're always eating things like pizzas and waffles and burgers and what not?"
"Uh, no?"
"It's because we enjoy their taste. And we exercise later on so we can keep enjoying them while also being in shape." Chase explained.
It took a second, but she understood. "Oh, I get it."
They exercised for a while, and then came back up.
"Geez, the rain still hasn't stopped." Chase pointed out, looking at the skye which was filled with dark clouds as far as the eye could see.
In the middle of Cloudgazing, Chase noticed something. Marshall was just staring into the distance, and lightly blushing.
"Uhh, Marshall?" He asked, which made him regain his senses.
"Yeah Chase?"
"You're, blushing."
"Wh-What? N-No I'm not." He said, trying to deny it. Chase looked at him, not buying it at all.
Skye noticed too. "Marshall, what's with the blush?"
"I-Its nothing."
"Oh come on Marshall. We aren't fools. Tell us what's up." Chase said, in a kind of demanding tone.
"I-Its just that, I K-kind of have a C-crush on someone." He looked away, embarrassed.
"Oh my gosh. Who?" Chase asked, now very curious.
"She's a new girl."
"That's fine, but what's her name?" Skye asked.
"E-Everest."
