"Yeah sure. We'll all go." Chase said. Skye looked at him with a smile.
"How far is your house from here anyways?" Marshall asked.
"It's about 2-3 Km. Yeah. It's kind of far." Marshall and Chase looked at each other.
"Sure. We can walk that far." They said. They grabbed their phones and water bottles, and headed out.
On the way, the 4 saw a short but healthy boy walking across the road, and a car speeding towards him.
"Watch out!" Chase tried to warn him, but it was too late. The car rammed him into a bus stop.
"Oh crap!" The four ran towards the boy, who was unconcious. He was covered in cuts, bruises, and may have even broken a few ribs. The driver was also unconcious, but suffered only head injuries, including a small gash across his face.
"I think he's still breathing." Chase said.
"Anyone knows how to do CPR?" Skye asked.
"I think it's just 2 pushes to the chest and feeding air through your mouth." Marshall spoke.
"Since when do you know how to do that?" Chase asked.
"Oh a long while back."
Skye bent down to give it to him. Their lips we're a dew centimeters apart, when Chase realised what she was about to do, and stopped her.
"Wait wait wait, aren't CPRs done when the person had drowned?" He questioned. The others thought for a moment, and agreed.
"Uh huh. He didn't drown, so, maybe it's best if we take him to the hospital." Roacjy suggested. The 3 nodded. "Close one." Chase said in his mind as he got out his phone and called the nearest hospital.
"Hello? Yeah, I'm calling from elegance street. My, uhh, friend got rammed by a car. His condition is very serious, so, could you please come quickly? Not too sure about that, but you can track my phone right? Yeah, I'll enable it. Okay, thank you."
"What'd they say?" Marshall asked.
"They're coming." Meanwhile, the man who was driving woke up. He looked around, confused as to what happened. He started to panic a little.
"Woah sir, please calm down. Help is on the way." Chase spoke, which almost made the man even more stressed.
"Okay, can someone explain what in the world happened?"
"By the looks of it, you were drunk. You drove your car straight into a kid, who got rammed into the bus stop. I guess that's drunk driving."
"I think that means Jail for you." Skye said.
"Nope! You guys can't send me there!" He retaliated in a more agressive tone.
"Wait! You're Geoffrey Goodman!" Zuma exclaimed.
"Woah woah WOAH! Hold the phone. So you're the 'Pleasant street Pacifier?! Said Rocky, shocked.
"Hehe, Looks like you kids got me. Surprise!" He said with a sinister grin.
"You know I have the nerve to get you arrested right now." Chase said.
"Try me." He said, getting out his knife. They soon heard the sound of sirens.
"Guys, you take the boy to the ambulance. I'll be with you in a minute." Chase said, signalling them to go, but Skye refused.
"No Chase, I'm not leaving you alone to fight him. I'm with you." She insisted. Chase turned to her, and tried to explain that it was dangerous for her to stay there with a psycopathic killer.
"Skye, really. You shouldn't be here. It's better if you guys go and check up on th-OWWW!" He fell to the ground with a scream of pain, and a dagger in his back.
Skye looked at him in horror, but she quickly turned her attention to the killer. "WHY DID YOU DO THAT!?! WHY?!?"
"If you wanna beat me, gotta be quicker than that. Because the next time, that thing's goin through his heart." He shouted and ran into the back alley, and disappeared. Skye turned her attention to the now seriously injured brunet. He was bleeding badly.
Skye couldn't do anything. She just watched in horror. Luckily, the ambulance came to the scene, and drove them to the hospital. They first met the receptionist.
"Hello kids, how may I help yo-"
"MY FRIEND'S ABOUT TO DIEE!!! DO SOMETHING!!" Skye shouted, which obviously turned a bunch of heads. She noticed, and looked at her friends, embarrassed.
"Uh...S..sorry. My friend here got in a fight with, Geoffrey Goodman." She said, to which everyone in the room, including them, collectively gasped.
"Isn't that.. The Pleasant Street Pacifier?" The nurse asked. They just nodded. She immediately got them both admitted. The doctor was checking on them, while the squad sat outside, waiting anxiously.
Marshall and Skye were clearly the most stressed of the group. Marshall was stressed because the life of his brother was in danger, and Skye was stressed because of, reasons.
After a few minutes, the doctor came out with the report.
"How are they?" Skye asked.
"The one who was rammed is, actually quite fine. He just suffered a few scratches and a bent arm."
"And..Chase?"
"I'm sorry to say this, but... He has only a 50% Chance of survival."
