"Cas what the hell was that all about?" Dean took hold of his friend arms and shook him slightly, "tell me you haven't lost your grace again?"
"No Dean my grace is intact. I just thought Lara would like something to make her feel at home." He looked at Dean, who was shaking his head in disgust,
"She is my sister Cas. You can't go giving my sister a painting of you and her bumping uglies." He stared him square in the eye; "and since when do you have feelings for someone? I saw the look in your eyes when you looked at her; that wasn't a pure let me give you a gift kind of look. That was the look that I have seen Sam give Lacey when they are about to go off and do the deed. When you had no grace and were as close to a human as you could get then I understood it, but now?" Cas looked away at the scrutiny in Dean's eye;
"Your right." He replied before he walked away from his friend. Shaking his head Dean knocked back on Lara's door.

"Lara, can I talk to you?" I looked up from the painting and opened the door to see Dean standing there with his arms crossed in front of him.
"Hey Dean; food isn't ready now is it?" I asked as I stepped back to let him enter the room;
"Not yet, look Lara honey...I need to talk to you...about Cas?" Looking at my brother I began unpacking the clothes from my bag and folding them in piles on the bed. Raising my eyebrow, I indicated for him to carry on,
"Well you see, Cas doesn't think like a normal human being...he can be standoffish and not understand pure human emotions. He is an angel and they live by a different set of rules. I don't want to see you throwing your life away hoping for the apple pie life. He is a warrior through and through. He knows what love and a relationship are theoretically like thanks to the memories he had from his vessel Jimmy but he has never been in one; so, he may say or do things that could hurt and upset you without even realizing it." He placed his hand on my shoulder and looked into my eyes "I don't want to see you get hurt, you deserve so much more."
Placing my hand on his I slowly pushed it off my shoulder and stood there with my hands on my hips,
"Look, Dean, I know you are just watching out for me but I'm a grown woman...I've made mistakes in the past and I've learned from them. I "like" Cas, if he came to me on bended knee and suddenly proclaimed is love for me then I'd be honoured but also a little wary myself. I've been in relationships that are volatile and also based solely on sex, so I'm not going to immediately jump into bed with the man/angel whatever. But even though you are my brother I need to make these decisions for myself. I know you and Sam are protective and I get that; especially as now you suddenly have a sister, something you've never had before. But you need to let me and Cas decide if we want to take this further."
I turned to look at the canvas,
"look how he has captured my likeness in that picture; I do not see myself like that but obviously, he does...he must have some sort of humanity within him to picture me as beautiful as that." I turned back to him, "so now I'm going to unpack and put everything away. Just think about what I have said." I said to him as I slowly pushed him out of the door, "I'm a grown woman Dean; not a little girl anymore looking for her Prince Charming." As I said the last words, I closed the door on his startled face.
**
Dean stared at the closed door before turning on his heels and walked back to the main room; well he tried to warn her but if she wouldn't listen then what else was he meant to do. He saw his brother who was stood next to Lacey holding Deana in his arms. Smiling he approached him; if Lara wouldn't listen to him then maybe she would listen to Sammy. "Sam, I need a favour." He said before pulling him aside but not before he kissed Lacey on the cheek with brotherly affection.
