Kirishima

"Mina?" he asked, knocking on her door. It was morning. He just saw Midoriya and Bakugou leave together.

They looked like they were having fun.

The door opened, and Mina—in her pyjamas—was yawning. "Who—Kiri?"

"Yeah. And you were right. I should've waited."

Mina's face turned serious. "Wait—did Bakugou reject you? I will beat his ass—"

"No! No," Kirishima said, looking down. "I didn't ask."

Mina frowned. "So why are you sad?"

"He—uh, he has a boyfriend?" Kirishima said, choking on his words a bit.

"Is that boyfriend better than you?"

Kirishima shrugged weakly.

"Oh my god, okay, come in," Mina said, patting Kirishima's back reassuringly as she pushed him in and closed the door behind them. "Do you need tissues? I brought some for emergencies like these."

Kirishima gave a breathy laugh, nodding.

Mina passed him a whole box. "So, what happened?"

"Last night, I knocked on his door and—he opened it and Mina, he was so cute because he had his blanket around him—but like I asked him if we could go out," Kirishima said, "and he asked 'for what?' and—and—"

Mina nodded, urging him to continue.

"And I said 'As bros'," Kirishima said.

Mina's eyes widened. She hit Kirishima hard enough to hurt. "Why?"

"I don't know!" Kirishima laughed. He was feeling better.

"Kiri, you're so dumb!"

"I know!"

"Okay, and then what happened?"

Kirishima shrugged. "He said he couldn't go out tomorrow—which is today—because he was going out with Midoriya."

"Bakugou and Midoriya?" Mina asked. She nodded. "Okay, not gonna lie, I can see it."

"You're not helping."

"Then what did you do?" Mina asked, ignoring him.

"I said 'oh'," Kirishima answered. "And then Bakugou looked at me and said 'We can go out on Sunday.' but I didn't say yes because I'm stupid—"

"Kiri, stop. I'm allowed to call you stupid, but you're not allowed to."

"Who made that rule?"

"Me! And I'm enforcing it, so you'd better watch out."

Kirishima laughed. "Anyway, that was it. I left."

"Was anyone else going with Midoriya and Bakugou?" Mina asked.

Kirishima shook his head. "I asked, and Bakugou said I couldn't go."

"Suspicious," Mina commented. After a short pause, she clapped her hands. "Wait!"

Kirishima looked up at her.

"He didn't say they were dating! And he said he could go out with you on Sunday—"

"Because I told him it was as bros."

Mina sighed. "You're right. Plus, he was probably pitying you." Another short pause. "But he didn't say he was dating!"

"They probably are. I mean, Midoriya and Bakugou are childhood friends. I doubt Bakugou would spend so much time with someone that wasn't special to him. And they have nicknames!"

"True," Mina said. "But they don't give me that vibe, you know?"

Kirishima furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't."

"The vibe," Mina repeated, moving her hands a bit.

Mina stared at him for a long time, then Kirishima shook his head. "No."

Mina sighed. "Okay. Are you gonna do something about it?"

Kirishima shrugged. "Midoriya and Bakugou just left—"

"You should've told me!" Mina shouted suddenly. "Ugh, Kiri! Okay, go change. We're following them."

"We're what?"

"We're following them."

"Won't that just make me a stalker?"

"It's fine, it's not as bad as it sounds."

"That's exactly what a stalker would say!"

"Do you want to follow them or not?" Mina asked.

Kirishima sighed. "Yes."

"Okay, go change," Mina said. "Wear decent clothes. Following people is not black clothes, black pants and sunglasses. Meet you in the common room in..." She looked at the clock. "2 minutes."

"What?"

Mina kicked him out of the room.

A/N:

sorry this was so short!! i have a test tomorrow :(

but srsly the test is literally so annoying???

it's literature. do i look like i care about what shakespeare intended to tell his audience in the merchant of venice when he put the theme of 'appearance and reality' while describing shylock's deal with antonio and bassanio? no.

do i care about what happened in scene two act seven? no. do i care about antonio's feelings? no. do i care that antonio is gay for bassanio? a bit. but do i care about portia being super choosy for a petty reason? no.

in conclusion: i don't care about the merchant of venice because of school.

i bet i would fricking love the book if my school hadn't made me read it. i love all the books my school didn't make me read. percy jackson, infernal devices, maze runner, throne of glass, court of thorns and roses (?), magnus chase (actually the whole riordanverse), so on and so forth. (not including harry potter; sorry y'allz but hp is NOT my cup of tea and YES i watched the movies AND read the books and i still don't think it's good. go figure.)

anyway i hate literature and my literature teacher sucks. also, i got 53/60 for my physics test! yay :)
