A Trip to Kiawe's Family Ranch

(This is what Jordan does during episode 6, A Shocking Grocery Run! Okay? Okay.)

Jordan
I'm waiting outside with Blazestorm and Featherstorm for Kiawe to come get me.

"I just can't wait to see all the Pokémon on Kiawe's ranch. Can you guys?" "Char! Charmeloen!" "Piki!" "I know. I wish we could fly there on our own, but we can't." "CHARIZARD!" "Hey Jordan! Blazestorm! Featherstorm!"

We look up and saw Kiawe on his Charizard. He landed and Kiawe smiled at me.

"Okay Blazestorm, for now, return."

She went into her ball.

"Featherstorm, keep up okay?" "Piki!" "Ready to go Jordan?" "Yeah as ready as I'll ever be." "Then climb on."

He held out his hand and I took it. He helped me up.

"I suggest hanging on tight, don't want you falling off." "Good point."

I wrap my arms around his torso, I'm immediately greeted with a LOT of warmth.

"Alright Charizard, let's go back to the Ranch." "Char, Charizard!"

Charizard took off. I look over at the view, and it's amazing.

"Wow. The view is incredible. When Blazestorm evolves into Charizard, I'm gonna fly everywhere." "You're not wrong about the view. The sunrise and sunset from up here is stunning." "I bet."

"Here we are Jordan. My family's ranch." "Wow, reminds me of Ramos' ranch almost."

We both got off Charizard and Featherstorm perched himself on my right shoulder. I let Blazestorm of her ball.

"Char!" "Good to see you again partner." "Let me show you around." "Okay." "BROTHER!! THE TAUROS ARE FIGHTING AGAIN!!!"

A short little girl with dark skin and cyan blue eyes. Her hair, which is tied in a slightly spiky ponytail, is red and brown and has a distinctive red star-shaped patch in between her forehead and hairline. She kinda looks like Kiawe in a way.

"Again?! Come on Jordan!" "Right!"

We follow the girl to a pair of Tauros headbutting.

"Kiawe follow my lead!" "Right!"

I charge at one of them and Kiawe charges at the other one. I jump and land on one, then grip the horns and start rubbing. Kiawe copies my actions.

"HEY CALM DOWN!! Everything is alright. Trust me. Trust what I say and you will be fine." "Tauros, taur, taur." "There we go, nice and calm."

My Tauros calms down and I get off. I look at Kiawe, whose having trouble. I walk up to his Tauros and rub his horns with Kiawe.

"Calm down, you're going to be just fine. You're safe here and won't be harmed. Trust what I say and you'll be okay. Think of the calm ocean waves as you walk across the beach." "Tauros, taur, taur." "There we go, nice and calm. Now, tell me why two started fighting." "Taur, taur, Tauros, taur." "I see. Kiawe, they were only fighting because they wanted attention from someone." "Oh, I see. Thanks for the help." "It's fine, I hate it when Pokémon don't get along with each other." "Brother, is she your girlfriend?" "WHAT!?"

Kiawe fell off Tauros and I jumped backwards. Kiawe quickly got up, with a huge blush on his face. I too, was blushing.

"She's/He's not my boyfriend/girlfriend!!!"

We both shouted in unison. We looked at each other then away from each other.

"I'm only here to see the Pokémon on the ranch. Besides, I..." "...she prefers Pokémon over people. Right?"

I was shocked he remembered, most people forget that. I must of showed how shocked I was.

"Y-yeah. I'm gonna go check on the other Tauros before you say another thing about the two of us being a thing."

I quickly rushed over to the other Tauros, Blazestorm followed after me and Featherstorm was still on my shoulder.

"Charmeloen! Char, char!" "Piki, piki!!" "No I don't like him." "Char/Piki, char/piki, char/piki?" "Yes I'm sure."

'No I'm not. He's the second person to remember I prefer Pokémon over people that's not family. The first being the reason I prefer Pokémon over people. I will never forget that day.'

"Char, char, char~!" "WHAT!? No I'm not!!"

Blazestorm was right, I am blushing hard. I felt something nudge my back, I turn and saw a Tauros.

"Taur, taur?" "Yes, I'm fine Tauros. I'm just not sure about everything in my head."

I pet his head and all the Tauros come nuzzling me.

"You like her~" "Mimo!!" "It's true tho big bro. You like her~" "No I don't."

Kiawe and Mimo watched as the Tauros nuzzled the girl.

'Why is she almost as adorable as Mimo?'

At the end of the day

Jordan said her goodbyes to Kiawe's parents and sister before sending Blazestorm into her ball. She got on Kiawe's Charizard. She wrapped her arms around him and they took off into the sky.

"So, how did you like the ranch?" "It was great. The Tauros are so nice." "Yeah, sorry about Mimo thinking we're dating." "I-it's okay." "If I may ask, why do you prefer Pokemon over people?" "Well, let's just say it involved lots of blood. I prefer not talking or thinking about it." "Sorry I asked." "You didn't know. Besides, I've got my brother and my Pokemon." "If you ever need someone to talk to, aside from Pokemon, you can always come to me. Okay?" "Alrigt, thanks Kiawe. I mean it."

I don't know why, but I nuzzled my head into his back. It just felt right.

After Kiawe landed Chaziard, we got off. Blazestorm came out and I gave her a head pat. I look at Kiawe.

"Thanks for taking me to your ranch."

I said with a smile for the first time in a while. I haven't smiled at a person since Luke, the last person who wasn't family I trusted. I noticed a small blush on his face.

"It was nothing. I hope you enjoyed it." "I did, I really did. I'll have to go back there sometime." "I'll be looking forward to your future visits. See ya tomorrow Jordan. You too Blazestorm and Featherstorm."

He got on Charizard and flew off. I went inside and saw Ash and Pikachu waiting for me.

"So, how was it?" "It was okay, his Tauros love me, his sister thought we were dating, and his family was nice." "Sounds like you trust him." "You know I don't trust people anymore." "You have to forget what Luke did. That was five years ago." "That doesn't change what he did. I still haven't healed from that day. The marks are still there."

I sat on the couch hugging myself tightly. Ash hugged me from the side. So did Pikachu and Blazestorm. Featherstorm nuzzled my cheek softly. A few tears left my eyes from the memory.

"I know it hurts to remember, so just forget it. Nurse Joy said your marks won't ever go away. Remember that Pikachu, Blazestorm, Featherstorm, and myself are always here for you." "I know, I just can't forget that day. He scarred me and my body that day." "I bet that if let the marks show, it'll help you get over it." "We'll see." "Let's get some sleep sis. I'm sure you'll feel better tomorrow."

I nod at him. He goes up to the loft with Pikachu. I lay down on the couch and sleep.
