Barb pinched the bridge of her nose, how could she be so stupid?

She had barged into Poppy's room, not realizing that she was asleep.

She couldn't tell if this was an impulse but she was genuinely going to confess her love on the spot. God, what was she thinking? That would so embarrassing. She wasn't even dressed properly and she looked like a mess. Slowly, she tiptoed back outside and slowly shut the door, thankfully she didn't wake up. That would've been a disaster.

Still, she fears that if she doesn't do it today, she never will. This thought scared her. She already madly in love how could she stay away from her? A thought struck her mind like a bullet.

What if she doesn't like me at all?
Her mind went in a spiral for a few minutes. Poppy could break her heart in seconds. Barb began to fidget with her hands, how would she be able to handle it? Would she be mentally prepared for this? Poppy means the world to her, she'll respect her decision, but for what? To be hopelessly in love knowing you don't ever have a chance with the cute pop troll that rocks your world?

This was too much. She needed to let her emotions out or she'd go berserk.

Barb had walked to the dump of Volcano Rock City with a bat in her hand. After searching for the perfect place to smash stuff, she gripped tightly onto the weapon she was carrying. Within in seconds she was smashing and kicking everything she could find. Every hit kept beginning up the image of Poppy saying she never loved her, over and over again.

This is getting out of hand.

Barb let out of the bat and let herself fall to the ground. She raised her hands to her face, they were covered in blood and bruises. Barb groaned, "How am I gonna play my guitar now," She muttered to herself. She sat up, her mind was blank for once. Despite the fact that Poppy would reject her seconds, she still needed to confess. But how?
Groaning in frustration, she glanced at a former troll who was somewhat close to the dump. He looked like he was playing a guitar. In curiosity, she sat closer and saw another troll. She could finally get some words out.

"And I'll miss your laugh your smile
I'll admit I'm wrong if you'd tell me
I'm so sick of fights I hate them
Lets start this again for real

So here I am I'm trying
So here I am are you ready
So here I am I'm trying
So here I am are you ready

Come on let me hold you, touch you, feel you
Always
Kiss you, taste you all night
Always
Touch you, feel you
Always
Kiss you, taste you, all night
Always"

Barb listened closer until the male troll had finished and received a hug. "Huh.." Barb cracked a smile. "That's actually not a bad idea," She said as she watched the troll get covered in kisses.

Singing a love song to poppy.

That can't be so bad,

is what Barb had thought before she was stuck on her bed trying to come up with some sappy lyrics that'll swoon POPPY." UGH! This is so hard!" She growled in frustration. This wasn't working. Barb grabbed the guitar next to her and began to play whatever was on her mind. Hopefully it could inspire her to come up with some good lyrics.

Barb stopped playing once she heard a loud creak. Her heart dropped when she turned her head to see Poppy. "Poppy!" Barb yelped as she stuffed the paper under her pillow.
"Was I interrupting something?" The pop troll asked, laughing slightly. Barb felt her face go red, "It- It's nothing," Poppy, completely unfazed by Barb's behavior, sat next to her and muttered, "So.. last night," Barb let out a huge 'ugh' once Poppy had reminded Barb that she basically slept sith her.

"Sorry about that, I wasn't myself y'know.. I was going through something." Poppy chuckled, "Oh, Barb, It was totally fine, are you ok now? I didn't realize you were down at that time. " She said sincerely. Barb shifted her head and stared into Poppy's eyes, "Thanks for understanding, popsqueak. I'm totally fine now. " That was a lie.
"So, what were you doing? I know I saw something in your hand!" Poppy said, suddenly full of energy and Curiosity. She tried reaching for the item under the pillow which triggered Barb intensely.
She quickly reached for the pillow and sat on top of it to avoid any kind of mishap. "No, Poppy! You can't-" Before the rock troll could finish, Poppy pushed her back, smirking slightly with her hand under the pillow.

"Poppy!" Barb blushed and growled at her amusement. "But I wanna know what's under that pillow Barb! C'mon, pleeeeeeaaaaaaaseeee-"

"I said no!"

"SHOW ME, SHOW ME, SHOW ME, SHOW ME, SHOW ME, SHOW ME-" "Not right now, it's for Carol! Alright?" Barb said with no hesitation. Immediately she regretted saying those words, but she was too out of it to tell Poppy the truth. Barb noticed the change in the atmosphere, it was suddenly suffocating. She watched Poppy's emotion change once she heard the name. "Oh, sorry." She said while getting off Barb. The rock troll frowned, "Hey, wait," Barb paused. She needed answers. "What's with the sudden mood change?" Barb asked as she sat closer. "M-MOOD CHANGE? UHH, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT," Poppy blurted out and chuckled nervously.

Was Barb catching on?

This was bad, this was very bad. Barb can't know the truth, she'll hate her forever. Not only was she panicking but she was never a good liar either. Her instincts are to stay silent or change the subject.

"S-So, how's uh, " Poppy hesitant, she was at a loss of words. "DEBBIE! H-How's Debbie?" "Uh.." Barb looked confused for a second. "She's fine? Anyway, that's not the point, dude. What's up with you?"

Poppy couldn't change the subject now. "Nothing.. it's just.." She looked away for a second. "I dunno, you and Carol hang out a lot and I just thought.."

Barb cracked a laugh, suddenly she was trying to keep herself from laughing. Poppy looked up once she heard the rock troll's snickering. Flustered, she asked, "AHH, Why are you laughing?!" "You? Poppy? JEALOUS?" Barb was at a loss of words and let her laughter take over until she cried. "Jeez, popsqueak, I didn't tell you about this morning did I?" She asked once she calmed down. "What do you mean?" Poppy asked with a confused look on her face. "We sorta.. broke up." "Broke up? Why?"

"It wasn't really working out," Barb muttered. "We both didn't put any effort in the relationship anyway."

"Ohh Barb, you poor thing," Poppy's face softened as she wrapped her arms around her. "O-Oh.." Barb was surprised by this but it still felt like heaven to receive a hug from Poppy.

After a few seconds, Barb pulled away and sighed.

"Hey, I need to tell you something."
