Castiel's POV
Castiel only managed to get to the living room before Dean grabbed him, throwing him into the nearest wall. The green-eyed boy ignored the angel's whimpers of pain as his wings twisted strangely underneath him, his arm pressing against his collar bones.
"What the hell did you mean by that?" Dean growled, sending a shiver down Castiel's spine. The hunter sure could be intimidating.
"It was a joke." Castiel spat, attempting to sound just as strong. Dean's expression didn't waver. It was clear he didn't believe the angel.
"Cut the bullshit Cas. What the hell were you talking about?" Dean spat back, his eyes livid. Castiel didn't notice them though. He was distracted by the way Dean's jaw clenched.
"It's what Sam and I were talking about. I did it as a prank to freak you out, for him." Castiel lied, returning his gaze to those amazingly green orbs of Dean's. The man looked like he wanted to say something, but after a moment, he just stiffly nodded and released Castiel, allowing the angel to stretch his sore wings with a wince.
"Couldn't you have been a bit more gentle, Dean?" Castiel muttered, though his voice held the same tone that his normal speech did. Dean only smirked, running his hand along the wings in apology. Of course, Castiel had to bite his lip from letting out a moan as his fingers brushed his sensitive feathers.
"Don't freak me out like that then." Dean retorted and Castiel rolled his eyes, stretching before walking over to his dresser and pulling out clothes. Dean furrowed his eyebrows, leaning against the wall beside him.
"So are you gay?" Dean questioned, making Castiel freeze for just a moment. He looked at Dean emotionlessly, making the hunter fidget a bit. "It's just that you said all those things about soul mates, but you never said that you yourself was attracted to guys."
Castiel let out a sigh, turning back to the dresser. "In your world, yes. I'm considered homosexual. I tend to find more attraction to males. In heaven, souls are genderless, so the body you left behind does not necessarily represent what you actually are. Just like if I had chosen a female vessel instead of this one, I would be straight." The angel explained, glancing back at Dean and watching as he contemplated what Castiel had said.
"So if a person were to fall in love with an angel-"
"You wouldn't be gay or straight, as we have no concept of those terms. You love who you want." Castiel cut in and finished for him. Dean seemed to like this explanation, as a small smile crossed his face.
"What are you doing anyway?" Dean asked as Castiel pulled out some clothes. Castiel let out a soft growl, rolling his eyes.
"Well, Winchester, I'm getting clothes out so I can at least make it to my afternoon classes, as I'm not lazy and a skipper." Castiel said, a slightly teasing tone coming into his voice.
