Desires

Transcending space and time,

I don't know what's yours, nor what's mine,

I desire to breath again,

Escape asphyxia, and forget the pain

Lonely, alone in another world,

Is everything that I want to hold,

Closer to me, they're dear to me,

But more than anything, I want to be

A star in the sky,

Illuminating the darkest night,

A raindrop, descending from the clouds,

A fleeting life, evanescent vows

A fulminating firework,

Ephemeral, but full of words

Of comfort, of empathy,

A reminder of my destiny

The melody of my heart pounding,

The harmony of our breathing,

Together, yet so far apart,

What feels like the end is only the start
