Little by little
You lose parts of yourself
Mom says you look beautiful but you'd look prettier in makeup and high heels
And so you wear red lipstick and put on high heels every Sunday so the elderly won't gossip
Dad says he's proud of you but the search bar on Google says otherwise as you see he typed help my daughter is gay. And the following day you bring over a guy named Jim to ease his fears
Sister says you're such a weirdo, and you laugh at her offensive jokes and let her boyfriend stare down at your boobs till bile rises up your throat but you have to choke it down.
Brother says girls are weak and so you take up sports so your muscles will grow bigger
And then five years later you realize
Little by little they changed you
You're no longer you anymore
Just what they want you to be
