Lessons For A Little Girl

To the little girl who tugged at my shirt
looked up at me with big round eyes
Let me tell you something about life
Friends are just temporary people
Family is not everything
Love without growing old together is just heartbreak
Money never destroyed anyone but
Power is the destroyer of all humans
Nail bitting becomes a habit
School orals will make you want to puke
Don't though
Exams you should study early
Your School Report doesn't define you
Mom and dad aren't perfect
Loneliness is not the same as being alone
Some will celebrate your downfalls but don't mind them because what does it do for you
Pick yourself up and move forward
You'll wish to go back to being young again
But you can't go back
The world hasn't changed much
People are still monsters
Don't accept drinks from strangers at bars and
don't do drugs even if you're curious
Curiosity once killed a cat you know?
If they offer you a line of coke ask if the don't have a joint, you can always come back from a joint
Read a lot of books and binge watch series
Eat fries with lots and lots of sweet chili sauce
Go to parties but keep your knees closed
If you want to have an abortion go for it
If you want to keep your baby, that's still fine
If you love someone tell them
Even of you're scared just do it
And if they don't love you back move on
Look around you
Take it all in
Because there is not tomorrow
There's only today.
I hope this helps
