Living in a toxic house is knowing that your brain works 2 times faster than all your friends because you're constantly thinking about what you did wrong.
Thinking that your parents are going to walk in and point out all the things you didn't do, even when you've checked the list over and over again they still find something wrong.
It's hearing the door handle squeak and feeling your anxiety rise up and the way your heart beats screams this is not normal.
It's having to recite ten times how you're going to ask for that R10 for civvies like you're talking to strangers. It's having to be the best liar the world has ever seen because the truth is simply not good enough.
And the thing with toxic people is that they make you feel like it's all your freaking fault, everything is your fault.
