Erran's heart was pounding. It was gaining on him and he stumbled as he made his way across the overgrown marsh. In the distance, he heard Lila, his daughter screaming as the monsters ripped her apart. Wiping away tears, Erran kept running, and fell as he collided with his beautiful wife. "Erran! Help me!" But Erran just stared at her while the monster tore her in half with a quick swipe of it's hands and ate her like a bloody banana. He couldn't stop now. If he wanted to save his family, he had to make it to the stones. Remembering the seers advice, Erran jumped into the clearing. Spotting the glowing stones, Erran made his way to the center and began to chant. "Stones of life and of death, with power beyond our world yet, let me become a part of you and add to the family of rock." He screamed as excruciating pain clawed at his body. First came his legs, slowly hardening, up to his chin. As he turned to rock, he saw the last member of his family die in pain.

It had been three thousand years since Erran had become stone. But Erran smiled as he awoke to the sound of a baby girl being born, just waiting to release him.
