I wake up feeling sore and tired. My eyes focus and I start to remember what has happened in the previous weeks. My parents are dead, I say to myself. And I'm across the world from my home. "Cullo!" my aunt calls from downstairs. "Are you hungry?" I sigh and stomp down the creaky old stairs. As I sit I notice my aunt stuff something in her pocket and look around nervously. "Are you alright?:" I ask. "Oh, uh yes im fine darling." I feel suspicous but i decide not to question.
This whole town is weird. The day I arrived my aunt said that I was lucky it was summer because if you didn't go to school one day then you had to find a new school. This was the only school in town. I had unpacked my stuff and lain awake in my bed until I slowly fell asleep. I woke up three times to nightmares that night and I didn't move from my bed the entire day. Now the nightmares had started to fade, but they were still there. A constant reminder of my pain.
