As the bell rings and the gates fly open I chirp to California crime and as always California crime takes off at a gallop. After we leave the gate California crime starts running like never before. As her gait changes from the steady and smooth pace that seems to eat up the good into a steady smooth pace that doesn't eat up the ground but destroy it as she leaps forward. I just decide for some reason to let her keep doing this as we go from last to first during the first turn. After we take first place California crime keeps whatever she is doing up in till we are roughly ten full lengths ahead then settles into her usual gait but every time a filly tries to take the lead California crime takes up her other pace and out runs that filly before I even realize what is going on then settles back into her usual pace. California Crime keeps this up as we cross the wire by 15 and a half lengths ahead of the others before slowing down. Fantastic job girl I say to her while I pat her neck as we are lead to the winners circle. California Crime just shakes her head as if to say thanks as they lay the blanket of flowers on her back. Nice job California crime and sky I hear alex say as he takes the lead rope. Thanks alex I say to him as Eric walks up and says that was new so did anyone know she could do that causing me and alex and half the crowd to laugh. Nope not a club alex tells Eric as Eric looks at me. Same here nope not a clue I tell Eric. Okay let's hope she does it again he says as her pets California crime.
