The next day I decide to go find a job. I walk down to the record store that Luke was telling me about that had a help wanted sign in the window.
I walk in and see this cute little store with 4 rows of records all organized by genre and records hanging on the walls.
"Can I help you?" I hear a voice from beside me. I look over to see a young brown haired boy with an amazing smile.
"Yeah, I saw the sign in the window. I'd like to apply for the job" I said as I set my resume down on the counter.
"Oh. Well you're hired" he says with a smile.
"What?" I was really confused. Was he the owner? Was he even going to look at my resume? Or ask me any questions?
"Yeah you start tomorrow morning at 10."
"Uhm. Okay" still very confused I walk out of the store and head back to Luke's.
MICHAEL'S P.O.V
"So she's from Canada?" I ask Luke as we play some FIFA at my flat.
"Yeah. I met her like 3 years ago while we were in Toronto." He answers, keeping his eyes planted on the TV screen.
"So you guys are like a thing?"
"No, just friends. Why?" He take his eyes off the game to look at me.
"GOAL!!!!" I shout as I score on Luke's net.
"Shit!" He throws his controller to the ground. He pauses the game and looks at me. "You like her, don't you?"
"What? Dude, no" I can feel my face turn red as he asked the question.
"You totally do! The way you could only say 'hi' when she talked to you, and you haven't stopped asking questions about her since last night!" I just shook my head, I didn't like her, I just met her. Yeah, she was beautiful but I'm not into that whole relationship thing. "she's single if you're interested, dude"
"I don't like her. Now can you un-pause the game!" I say getting frustrated. I didn't like her.
