Marinette couldn't believe the situation she was in. She simply couldn't.

I mean, who would believe that your worst enemy- the very person who came into your life, having the sole purpose of making your life a living hell- was welcoming you into their home after they saw you on the streets in a rainy day.

What was she up to? Was she pitying her? Well, Marinette doesn't need her pity. Was she trying to get dirt on her? Well, Marinette isn't talking. And also, how did Lila manage to drag Marinette into her house? And why did she agree?

Lila was planning something, Marinette knows it. But, there was this feeling in her gut that says to trust this manipulative fox. Will she?

Lila entered the room with two mugs full of hot chocolate with white marshmallows floating around. Lila set the mug down in front of Marinette then she sat across from her.

It was silent between them. Only the pitter-patter of the rain outside could be heard. "You don't like hot cocoa?" Lila asked, bringing the mug to her lips.

Marinette was silent for a moment then she spoke, "what are you planning?"

Lila tilted her head in confusion. "I'm not planning anything."

"Don't play innocent with me," Marinette snapped, which didn't faze the brunette.

"Is it the drink?" Lila asked. Marinette was confused. What does she mean 'the drink'?

Lila stood up and reached out for Marinette's mug only to switch it with her own. "There," Lila said as she set back down. "I gave you mine," she said as she placed both of her hands on the mug, "now, don't complain. Because I'm not making you another one."

Marinette looked at the cup. It was still hot. And she saw Lila take a sip of it. So, it wasn't tampered, right?

Hesitantly, Marinette raised the cup and took a small sip.

...

It was good. She took a bigger gulp and hummed in delight. The taste was amazing.

Before she could take another sip, she was reminded that Lila was here as well. She looked in front of her to see Lila drink from her previous cup. Maybe Marinette misjudged?

Lila turned her head and looked at the clock attached to the wall nearby. "It's late," Lila stated as she stood up. "You can finish that while I prepare your room."

"My room?" Marinette repeated. Lila looked back at the petite blunette sitting on the coffee table. "Of course," Lila replied, her hand going to her waist. "Where else would you stay?" And with that, Lila was out of Marinette's sight.

Marinette was still questioning what happened. How did this happen?

She felt like she forgot something... What was it?
