Hullo, I'm sure many of you know me. Or if you don't know me, maybe you've seen a picture at least. I'm the boy that sits on the moon in the beginning of any Dreamworks production.
You may have a lot of questions, like 'how did I get up there?'; 'why do you have a fishing pole?'; 'how old am I?'. And, well, I've got answers.

My journey starts back in my village hundreds of years ago. I am just a boy, seven years old. My name is Ian. Ian Works.
Today was the beginning of cleaning week and my mother was particularly stressed out. More so than she usually is, and she wasn't about to put up with any of my nonsense. But you know how little boys are; high strung and full of energy.
I wasted the day irritating my mum and running around the village and walked into all my neighbors homes, seeking entertainment. It wasn't an unusual thing. I was welcome anywhere really. But they were all terribly busy today; telling me to 'bugger off' and things of that nature. So by nighttime I returned home only to retrieve my fishing pole. A good fish by the sea always helped calm my tensions.
"Ian! What in the world do you think your doing?" My mother asked as I made my way into my room.
"I'm going fishing."
"What for?" She shouted back.
"To entertain myself with my thoughts." I said and walked out the door.

This routine carried on for some days until one day my mother had had enough.
"Well if you like to fish so much, why don't you fish on the moon? Since that's what you like to look at all the time. Wouldn't you rather be up there?" She asked.
"Why, I suppose so." Was my response.
"Then use all that energy to bounce yourself to the moon. Don't come down until you've learned to be more polite. Oh, and don't forget that pole." She had said.
And so I did.

And that's how I ended up here. With my fishing pole. At age seven.

(A/N: Hey everyone, I know it's been a really long time since I've updated, and I'm truly sorry. But here's a little one shot about what I think about the boy on the moon in Dreamworks productions. I'd like to go ahead and say that I own absolutely nothing. All rights go to the writers and producers of Dreamworks production. But anyways, I hope you enjoyed this! Feel free to give your feedback in any form. (Vote, comment, both would be great too!)
Until next time,
~Em)
