Two months until wedding

"We're here!" Ramin shouted, and I got out of the car with a yawn, "it hasn't changed a bit," he grinned, slinging an arm around my shoulder.

"Did you expect it to change?" I teased, as I saw the boys running into the backyard.

"No, but that's besides the point," I helped him bring our bags inside and put it in our rooms. "Do you have your bathing suit on?"

"Yes I do. You told me to put it on, idiot." I mumbled, pulling him to the backyard.

The August sun was hot, and I was ready to get in the pool.

"Mom!" Ramin called, running over to her as I approached Shervin.

"Hey Sherv," I grinned, using a nickname from his childhood he hated, as so Ramin told me.

"Oh god, Ramin told you about that? I'm gonna kill him!" He shouted, and Ramin stuck his tongue out at him, "hey Sierra," he lifted me off the floor in a hug, "what's up?"

"Nothing much. Just getting married in two months, that's all." I said sarcastically.

"Are you excited?" He asked, sitting down and drinking a beer.

"Of course," I said, smiling to myself, "I can't wait-"

"Mommy!" Hadley shrieked, turning heads and getting gasps from everyone, "can we go in the pool?"

"I guess. Just go get your bathing suits on. Your luggage is in your room." Hadley and Jaiden sprinted off, and I tuned back to Shervin.

"They call you mom?" He said, his eyes bugging.

"They asked me, and I'm not gonna say no," I shrugged, walking away and talking to some other family members.

At one point, I went to go feel the water in the pool; it was ice cold.

"Hey mom, can we go in the pool?" Ramin shouted from next to me, and I hadn't realized he was there.

"Ya, we were waiting for you guys to show," she shouted, and Shervin was giving me some look as if to say stop and run.

Before I could react, Ramin was saying, "well in that case," and his hands pushed into my back, and I went falling into the pool.

"Ramin!" I shouted, pushing my hair out of my face, "you bitch! You got my knee brace all wet too!" I groaned, pulling it off and throwing it at him.

He put it next to my bag, and while he was distracted, I pushed him in the pool as well, then jumped in after him. His family seemed to be too amused by our playfulness to worry about going in the pool, because all they did was laugh.

"You know I hate you, right?" I teased, wrapping my legs around his waist and relied on him to keep us afloat.

"But you love me," he grinned.

"Unfortunately," I shrugged, going under the water.

When I came back up, Hadley, Jaiden, and Shervin had all come in, and Ramin had gotten out. He was drying off and talking to his parents. "You're obnoxious!" I screamed, and he gave me another smile.

Some of his other family members jumped in eventually, and then Ramin started yelling at me, "Sie, Norm is calling you,"

I jumped out, running over to him as he put a towel around my tiny body, "Hello?"

"Sierra, we can't find your costume." Norm said, and I could hear him running around.

"Which one?" I asked, sitting with Ramin and his parents.

"Don Juan,"

"It should be either in the wardrobe village- oh no, I ripped it the other day," I blushed, "so I think Polly took it home to sew it."

"Okay, thank you," we hung up, and then everyone came out so we could eat.

As we ate, Ramin's phone buzzed. "Yes!" Ramin shouted, "Hadley sent me the video for Take Me Away,"

"So Hadley sent you me dancing, is pretty much what you're saying," I chimed, and he started the video.

It looked amazing, but in my opinion, Ramin singing was the best part of the entire video. But I might be biased.

"It looks great," he mumbled through a mouthful of pizza.

The night went on amazingly, and soon, I was drying off from a shower and getting in bed. As I crawled in, Ramin had a sneezing attack. "Are you feeling okay?" I asked, pressing a hand to his forehead, "hmm, you feel a little bit warm. I think you should just sleep, and relax tomorrow."

"I'm fine, I'm sure," he insisted, and I rolled my eyes.

"You're just saying that, now sleep." We both fell asleep soon after.

When we woke up the next morning, Ramin wasn't next to me. After pulling my sweatshirt off, I ran down the stairs to see everyone in the kitchen. "Good morning Sierra." Ramin's mom said, smiling at me.

"What time is it?" I mumbled, rubbing my eyes.

"Almost noon," Shervin said, chuckling at me.

"Where's Ramin?" I kissed Hadley and Jaiden on the head as they ate lunch at the table.

"He's in the living room. He's a little ill." His mom said sadly.

I sat next to Ramin on the couch, and he looked over at me, smiling. "Hey, how are you feeling?"

"Crappy," his nose was pink, he was sweating, and breathing through his mouth.

"Hmm, I can tell." He laid his head on my shoulder, "did you take something?" He nodded, "Ram, you can go home if you need to. You don't have to stay if you feel that bad."

"Would you be mad?" He asked, sounding guilty.

"Of course not. Go home tonight, I'll go buy you a ticket." I kissed his warm forehead before running upstairs to buy him a plane ticket.

I just prayed that he would be healthy for the wedding.
