Chapter 6

Time flew by, the day the hunters would leave to raid was today. The sun was just starting to rise, but an omega was fully awake.

Taehyung hated when Jungkook would leave to raid other packs. He has been doing it for many years, but it just never got easier. Taehyung stood watching the sun rise outside. The small breeze blowing his curly hair.

"I see you're up early." Taehyung inhaled deeply the scent that surrounded his nose and his thoughts. He loved it. Even if he was supposed to be mad at the person causing it.

Taehyung just hummed, closing his eyes again. Jungkook sighed, sitting down beside his mate. "You know what today is right?" Taehyung huffed, "How could I forget? It is always around this time that you leave and make me a nervous wreck until you come back. Of course I know what today is."

Jungkook smirked, "Yes, and what else?"

Taehyung scrunched his face in confusion, "what do you mean?" Jungkook rolled his eyes, "Maybe if you weren't pouting and ignoring me all week, then maybe you would have remembered. You never forgot before."

"What do you mean-" Taehyung's eyes widened. "Kook....but...today is-"

"Yes Petal, today is the first time I brought you here. The day I found the love of my life and my forever. You Taehyung."

Taehyung's mouth was wide open in shock. He never forgot their technical anniversary date. Every year he would write it down, making sure to remind Jungkook a week in advance so he wouldn't forget.

Secretly Jungkook never needed to be reminded.

"Wolfie....I...." Taehyung's eyes started to gloss over with unshed tears. He forgot the most important day of his life. All because they had to fight. Jungkook grabbed Taehyung's hand pulling him slowly towards him.

"It's okay Petal. I know the past few weeks have been hard. It has been hard for all of us. You know you are one of the strongest wolves I know, meaning you have some of the worlds strongest pups. Especially our little omega boy."

Taehyung let the tears fall. He never wished the pain of losing a child on his children. He almost let it destroy him before, so he knew how it was probably affecting Haechan.

One thing on Taehyung's mind was how he wanted to help his son and be right there for him through everything. But he couldn't do it. Just the thought of losing a child still brought back bad memories. Triggering thoughts.

What Jungkook didn't know was that Taehyung blamed himself for Haechan losing his child. He birthed Haechan, therefore he felt responsible. But Jungkook and no one would ever know that.

Jungkook rubbed small circles on Taehyung's back, "But I still think we need to discuss what we were fighting about Tae."

Taehyung slowly nodded, " I know. But Jungkook it isn't Taeyong's fault and it isn't Jaehyun's either. Taeyong deserves to be a mother to a pup. Just like every omega. We have to support our other son and his mate."

Jungkook nodded, " I know Tae, and I do. But I think they need to be more cautious about some of the things they say around Channie. He is fragile and Lucas has to leave for the raids."

Taehyung nuzzled into Jungkook, "I just can't imagine how my baby omega is going to function without him. Just tell Lucas he doesn't have to go."

Jungkook shook his head, "Not going to happen. That boy is an asset to all of us. He is going."

Taehyung sighed, "But what will Haechan-."

"Haechan will be fine Tae. Trust me. If something were to happen, I would lose it." Jungkook stood up, pulling Taehyung with him, "Just make sure to check up on him."

Taehyung nodded, "Of course Wolfie. I already planned on it." Jungkook kissed Tae's cheek. "Good boy."

Taehyung giggled, slapping Jungkook's chest. "Stop that, just enjoy the sunrise with me before you leave me for God knows how long."

Jungkook pulled Taehyung close to him, finally feeling comfort.

"But Lulu...you can't leave yet. What if...um...I fall down the stairs..or...hm..cut myself on a nail or something? Who is going to help me?"

Lucas watched as his little omega paced back and forth in front of him. Haechan had been doing this for over thirty minutes now. Lucas was getting ready to head out for the raids. First he had to comfort his omega.

"Come here Channie." Lucas patted his lap for the smaller boy to sit down. Haechan huffed, finally sitting down after so long. Lucas pushed some of the silverish hairs out of the omega's face. "Now, you know I am only going to be gone for a few weeks. This isn't the first time I had to go, Tulip." Haechan looked at his hands that were now clasped together, "But...need..Lulu.."

Lucas smiled, "Don't worry Channie, I will be back soon. Then we can keep trying okay?" Haechan gave his mate a small smile, "Okay...sure.."  The smile on Lucas's face left immediately, "Look at me baby boy."

Haechan slowly looked up into his Alpha's now slightly red eyes, "Don't tell me that you are going to give up. We are in this together and we will be parents. I can feel it."

Haechan caressed Lucas's face, "I know Lucas, I know."  Lucas kissed Haechan's head and then his lips. "Be good for me Tulip. I know when you are bad." Lucas picked up Haechan and sat him down. Haechan could not stop listing off everything that would go horribly wrong if Lucas wasn't there, but his mate just ignored him. This is how Haechan got when he was nervous.

"I just want you to know that if that pup comes before I get back, I will not be happy." Jaehyun was holding Taeyong in a tight embrace, as much as he could with his omega's huge stomach. "I can't make any promises Jae. You know that this pup has a mind of their own."

Taeyong was smiling, but inside he was going to miss Jaehyun a lot, but mostly he was nervous. What would happen if the baby came while his mate was gone. Usually they are very important in the birthing process. This worried him.

"You may be smiling Yongie, but I know you are nervous and don't be. It will be fine. The pup wouldn't dare come without me." Jaehyun bent down in front of Taeyong's belly, "They wouldn't dare." Jaehyun placed a kiss on his mate's tummy and then his lips. "Anything happens, I will make sure to be back as soon as I can."

"I love you Jae, please come back to us." Jaehyun kissed him again, "Of course."
