"Hey fab? Do we have icing? Im making mum a cake for her birthday." your boyfriend calum calls to you from the kitchen. You look towards him, "oh god youre baking again?!" you asked, laughing.
"oh haha, yes i am." he says.
you smile & decide to go help him, not wanting a repeat of a burnt cake & a smoke filled house like on your birthday when calum tried to surprise you.
"babe, just let me help." you tell hin taking the box of cake mix from him.
"buuuut.." he starts to protest.
"Oh no, im not having my birthday all over again." you say now pouring the cake mix in a bowl.
"i was trying to be a cute boyfriend.." he says with a pout.
"awhhh cal pal, it was perfect just like you." you say, now adding the milk & eggs to the batter.
calum smiles at you, "can i at least mix the batter then?" he asks
you nod, "fine, but keep it in the bowl." you say walking to get a cake pan.
"you mean, this isnt how you do it?" he says flicking batter on your face & laughing.
"oh youre so in for it now hood." you say, sticking your hand in the bowl & rubbing the batter on his face.
He giggles & tries to throw some at you, missing & hitting the wall.
giggling, you start running around the kitchen with calum, throwing batter everywhere.
after a fee minutes, youre both out of breathe, laying on the cake battered floor, giggling.
"this was so fun." calum says, poking your nose.
the oven time dings.
"oh god the cake!" calum says fantically getting up & getting it the cake out of the oven.
"omg you didnt burn it this time!" you say as you join calum, looking at the cake.
"mums gunna love it." he says smiling to himself, proud of the cake he made, with your help.
"if we make it in time. We have to clean this mess & shower." you say, picking batter out of your hair.
"I call shower first!" calum says running upstairs.
you smile & run after him.
