"DADDY DADDY DADDY!" you hear coming from beside the bed, you look & see your daughter, naomi jumping in the bed, next to your husband, ashton.
ashton slowly comes awake at the sound, but quickly realizes the panic in your daughters voice & becomes fully alert.
"what is it baby? Are you okay?" he says picking her up, holding her close.
"no daddy.. I had a bad dream. The monsters got you & mommy." she says, tears beginning to form.
"oh babygirl, dont you worry, were not going anywhere. See? Were right here & always will be."
she slowly nods, looking between you & ashton.
"you can sleep righf between mommy & i so you know were okay & not going anywhere. Okay?" ashton says placing your daughter between the two of you.
she smiles up at you two.
"daddy, can you sing for me please?" she asks him.
he smiles down to her, "of course princess."
he begins to sing her favorite song as she slowly falls back asleep.
