Perrie
<<Are you girls free next Saturday? xxx>>
Jesy
<<Of course we are. We're still waiting for you to tell us what you want to do for your birthday!!! xx>>
Perrie
<<I don't want to do much. You can come over for dinner if you want and then we can go out for a bit xxx>>
Leigh-Anne
<<Sounds good to me ;) xxx>>
Jade
<<Count me in xxx>>
Leigh-Anne
<<Is Darren gonna survive a whole night without you Jes?! Lol>>
Jesy
<<How funny! I'm sure he's gonna be just fine.>>
<<But talking about boys, what about Christian, P? Is he invited to your birthday celebration? ;)>>
Perrie
<<There's nothing between us, sorry to delude your expectations girls xx>>
Jesy
<<Are you sure? Because someone told me he kissed you yesterday...>>
Jade
<<OMG WHY DIDNT YOU TELL US!!!>>
Leigh-Anne
<<Perrie Edwards!>>
Perrie
<<What?! It wasn't a proper kiss, that's why I didn't say anything. It was just a peck on the lips when he walked me home last night. It's weird, I feel good when I'm with him but just as friends, I don't see him as anything more than that xxx>>
Jade
<<When are you gonna tell him that then?>>
Perrie
<<I was hoping he'd get it by himself to be honest lol>>
Leigh-Anne
<<Oh don't be a wimp! Tell him before it's too late babe xxx He'll get too involved otherwise and that would hurt him xx>>
Perrie
<<I know you're right, I just feel bad for him but I'll tell him at some point this week xx>>

Perrie was home alone. Her dad, Jane and Caitlin had gone out for the day with some friends but Perrie definitely didn't feel up for it, so stayed at home with the excuse of not leaving her dog alone.
After a couple of hours spent watching tv shows on Netflix, Perrie started to feel like she was wasting her day away. She quickly got changed into her tracksuit and decided to go for a run with Hatchi.
She run for about 20 minutes, then started walking around the field as a cool down before heading back home. Perrie was blasting her music really loud in her headphones, so she didn't realised someone was walking behind her until she noticed Hatchi kept turning around and stopping.
'Not you again!'
'I could say the same!'
'You're the one walking behind me, so you're the one following me.' Despite what she was saying, Perrie slowed down to let Alex catch up with her. The two started to walk together.
'I'm not following anyone, I always run here. I've never seen you running though.'
'I've always liked running. I don't think when I run.'
'It's the opposite for me, I run when I have big decisions to make.'
'So what big decision have you got to make this time?'
Alex smiled. 'Curiosity kills the cat.'
'Touché.'
'Oh my, I can't believe you actually agreed with me for once.'
'We haven't spoken that many times to be honest.'
'I wanted to get to know you better, but you immediately shut me out. Have you been warned about me by any chance?' His laugh was echoing across the field.
'Kind of. I'm sorry, I just had a few rough weeks and I guess I wasn't up for making friends.'
'Apart from my brother. Why are you not with him by the way?'
'Hey! What happened to "curiosity kills the cat"?!'
'Cats have nine lives, I can spare one.'
'I run alone. But for your information, I'm seeing Christian later.'
'So, I feel like it's in my brother's interest that I get to know you a bit better. You know, just in case you're a psychopath or something.'
'Thanks, I'm flattered. I'm a bit psycho, but not dangerous, I promise. What do you want to know?'
Perrie found herself smiling at him for no reason.
'I know about the boring stuff, where you're from, your family and all that crap. I want to know about you, what do you like doing?'
'Well, you already know I like running. I hate going to the gym so running is a fair compromise to keep fit.'
'Not that you need it, but go on.'
Perrie blushed at Alex's remark. 'I like singing and dancing, but just in my bedroom.'
'Are you any good?'
'I don't think so. I've always wanted to take voice lessons but my dad thinks it's a waste of time.'
'You should talk to my mum then. She's opening a new academy in town. They do singing, dancing, acting.'
'Yeah, I know. My best friend Jade is gonna start taking lessons there as soon as they open. I don't think my dad would ever agree. It's all about studying and finding a real job and making money. But I'd love studying with your mum again.'
'Again?!'
'I used to do ballet with her ages ago. I must have been six or seven.'
'No way! I'm gonna look at all her old pictures tonight until I find you!'
'I actually found you and Christian in one of my old photos. I'll send it to Chris later.'
'I need to see that. She was constantly embarrassing us when we were little. To be fair, she still does.'
'I'm sure she's still as lovely.'
'She is.'
'What about you, what do you like to do? Football I suppose.'
Alex looked down. 'Yes and no. Football was my destiny, or at least that's what my dad always told me. I guess some of the things they said to you about me were right. A couple of years ago, I made a few mistakes that have been hunting me ever since.' They stopped and sat on a bench.
'Mistakes don't define who we are. You'll find a way to redeem yourself.'
'People don't forget though. At least, not round here.'
'One day they'll realise you've changed. I'm already changing my mind about you and I never do that so feel honoured.'
'I definitely do. I'm starting to see why my brother likes you so much.'
Perrie laughed. 'Oh, does he?!'
Alex looked at her straight in the eyes and Perrie felt butterflies in her stomach. 'Oh, he does, unfortunately.'
'Why unfortunately?'
'Because if he didn't I would have definitely kissed you right now.'
